The premiere screening of the documentary "Esultate" (Rejoice) was held at the Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo, in the presence of Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Caroline of Hanover. This four-part documentary series, directed by Frédéric Laurent and his son Jérémie, focuses on the Salle Garnier — from its inauguration in 1879 to the many renowned performers who have graced the stage of the Monte-Carlo Opera.

De la distinction chez la princesse Caroline. C’est plaisant à regarder ! L’ensemble est correct.

Caroline looks lovely, better than the model. Fifty years ago or perhaps much less a Princess to the opera world have been in tiara! I often wonder - does anyone else here? - what the true arrangement between Albert and Charlene is - because she’s so infrequently at events where it “would be normal” for the couple to attend together. I know they have kids and all that, but it always stands out to me as a potentially less-than-regular situation, particularly as she was said locally to have been living separately from the palace (in town apartment or French countryside) in the time before she spent a long time in SA. I hope they’re super happy - but it’s been such an interesting journey for observers and one wonders still. I guess that’s Royal Watching !

DeleteThere has been a period one could read in the news papers that Caroline could'nt stand Charlene. During the last couple of years when I saw them talking to each other when they were present on the same
events , that things were going on better than before. There might of course be a reason why Charlene is not there.
Well perhaps Charlene doesn’t like opera. Never the less I think it is wonderful that Caroline attends functions with her brother. She took on the roll after her mothers death, accompanying her father, so to simply sideline her because Albert married is nonsense. Caroline is a very important member of the family and she does so with grace and elegance. She looks lovely in the dress, though I am not a fan of uneven hems, it works on her because she is thin. Nice shoes too.
DeleteThanks for ideas re Charlene. Very interesting to read your opinions.
DeleteQu'elle est belle dans cette robe à volants même si avec quelques centimètres en moins, elle serait encore plus à son avantage ; très rajeunissant, son changement de coiffure !
ReplyDeleteChangement de coiffure ???
DeleteCaroline looks lovely in this dress. Shoes are adorable too.
ReplyDeletePrincess Caroline's hair looks funny. It looks like she had attached 2 blond pony tails one on each side behind her ears.
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that the sheer overlay is back in vogue, a very 50’s60’s vibe. It adds a feminine touch.
ReplyDeleteToujours un plaisir de voir la Princesse Caroline, de plus, avec une très jolie robe et une silhouette grande et fine. Les chaussures s'accordent très joliment avec la robe. Chic et distinction toujours assurés. Marie.
