On January 10, 2025, Queen Margrethe of Denmark welcomed representatives from her patronages to the New Year’s Reception held at Christian IX’s Palace in Amalienborg. During the event, she wore a purple wool dress with a rouleau neckline, designed by Annette Freifeldt.
The Queen had previously debuted this dress on December 31, 2023, during her New Year’s speech, where she announced her decision to step down from the throne. The Queen is patron of many national organisations, institutions, and foundations.
