Fascinating initiative for her to support. I think Princess Anne can teach us all something about how to wear stylish scarves and aptly placed broaches!

I am not interested in copying Princess Anne's style. Modern women are styling their scarves/shawls differently. Brooches are worn less and certainly not like she does, not even by queens and other princesses. I am 3 years older than Princess Anne.

Anon 15:48: Royal ladies are not fashion forward icons for the latest hype, so a royal fashion blog is maybe not quite the place for inspiration or copy someone's style, in my opinion. They all have their own style, the "fashion personality" shines through, and for me at least, recognizing it is fun for me. I would not wear my scarf or shawl this way either - but I recognize Anne in how she dresses and if she does not follow fashion, then - yes, it is Anne, go girl! exactly how you like it.

Some Royal ladies are fashion forward and sometimes I copy styling ideas from them, but sorry not from Princess Anne. Maybe Anon. 9:29 likes Princess Anne's style but to me the princess cannot teach me anything about how to style my outfits. Anon. 15:48

  3. Ce rouge coquelicot va superbement bien à la princesse surtout qu'elle a su le combiner avec du bleu-marine ou du tartan !

I agree with you about the jacket and the skirt. I would prefer the boots without the tassels and Princess Anne needs a new hair style.mjt

Agree the tassels on the boots are not for me. Very much the Princess Anne signature style

Is it only me, or does Princess Anne laugh and smile more often than in earlier years? It makes such a difference, because she smiles/laughs very spontaneously,, it is not a cheese! smile. The red jacket is very good on her and ladies of a certain age profit additionally from a beautiful scarf around her not-surgically-enhanced neck. Those tassels are a laughing stock, but well, it is Anne.

What a dreadful comment! The Princess Royal is a lady who favors classical, traditional clothes. She was raised this is the way a lady dresses--I rather doubt the Princess is going to change her ideas about fashion now. Janet

Nah, she really doesn’t. She’s a happy hardworking older lady who has her own style and always appears clean and exceptionally neat and event-appropriate. She is popular, successful and appears to be a cheerful person. Why would that wonderful combination require a stylist ?!

The way a lady dresses ? I prefer the way the old European Queens and Princesses dress, or are they not Ladies ? Princess Benedicte, Queen Sonia, Queen Sylvia, Queen Sofia, former Queen Anne-Marie.... I bet they do not have stylists either.

At least Maggie Thatcher didn't wear clothes that were 20 years and older and she looked always elegant.

I really love this red jacket! The Princess Royal looks marvelous in it and love how she has styled this time out (I think Princess Anne loves this jacket too). It's paired beautifully with her black pleated skirt and her boots. Again, she has added a wonderful silk scarf--a touch of elegance as well as a bit of added warmth.

  12. Her colored silk scarf, brooch placement, wow! what style. I love her bright red jacket and pleated skirt. It looks to be woolen, combined with the boots, she looks elegant. It must be very cold. She looks well rugged up. She does such wonderful work, all low key, I think she is marvelous, I have much respect for her.
