At the invitation of King Willem-Alexander, the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, is making a State Visit to the Netherlands. On Tuesday, December 10, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima officially welcomed President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa during a ceremony held at Dam Square. In the evening, the King and Queen will host a state banquet at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, which will also be attended by Crown Princess Amalia.

A surprisingly "tame" outfit for Maxima, but I love it. It looks comfortable and appropriate for the cold weather. Would love to see more of the green dress underneath.

The Queen looks elegant and warm, it must be quite cold, she is well rugged up. She looks appropriately dressed.

ردحذفThe belt does make the coat more casual, too casual here. Donot like the shawl either: when it is this windy choose a coat with a high collar.

حذفIt is not only windy (north-east) but it is very cold between 3° and 4° degrees C during the day. Tomorrow same weather. Even on coats with a high collar people are wearing shawls when they have to go outside. I think it is very wise of Queen Maxima. Better that than catch a cold and becoming ill.
