Sweden's Queen Silvia turned 81 on December 23, 2024. The Queen was born in Heidelberg, Germany, on December 23, 1943. The Queen's birthday is a public flag day. The birthday is also an official salute day. The Royal Court of Sweden released a photo to mark the birthday. The photo was taken by photographer Ida Åkesson during the Queen's visit to Sundsvall earlier this year. During the visit, Queen Silvia wore a fuchsia tweed jacket and tweed skirt by Weill. The Queen celebrates her birthday privately with her family.

Lovely picture. Beatiful outfit. But the picture has not been taken now, but earlier during (late) summer or even last year. Anyway, she is always an elegant queen who does not look to grow older.
