On December 17, 2024, Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit paid a Christmas visit to the Risenga Residential and Care Center in Asker, where they met with residents and staff. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess were welcomed by the Secretary-General of Kirkens Bymisjon, Adelheid Firing Hvambsal, and Cathrine Eken Rusdal, the director of the Risenga Residential and Care Center.
The Risenga Residential and Care Center is operated by the Church City Mission (Kirkens Bymisjon). The organization works to provide quality elderly care in close cooperation with municipalities and local districts, focusing on culture, volunteerism, and the local community.
