On July 4, 2024, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands visited Zevenbergschen Hoek in the municipality of Moerdijk. Zevenbergschen Hoek is a village with 1,600 residents, where many younger residents move to nearby cities. Queen Máxima visited a small-scale residential care center in the center of Zevenbergschen. Queen Máxima then visited the community center De Zevensprong, where she met the members of the local billiards club.

Nice outfit - cool and summery - and a beautiful soft pink colour. I even like the chunky necklace since there is no other adornment. This outfit also shows off Maxima's tall, lean figure. If anyone can wear those very wide trousers, she's the one. I appreciate the event she's at, as well. Well done.

I liked the necklace first time, but now I like it even more now that I have seen it close up on other sites. Such beautiful colours and bead and stone work. It is exactly what her outfit needed! Very nice.

ردحذفQueen Maxima looks great here--but I would prefer her trousers to be less wide (these are too wide even for wide legged trousers). The simple top is perfect on her--I really prefer her in less fussy looks for daytime. As for that major statement necklace--I have no idea how she can wear something that must be so heavy!!!--she looks sensational in it. She looks very polished and lovely.

Queen Maxima is looking her very best self. I admire her for being so trim and toned. That takes work! And I think most of us agree the jewelry is way over the top. But give the Queen a break. She has minimized her accessories so much lately to give us

I love her necklace and other jewelry she wears on this occasion. She has the right to wear now and then modern jewelry. Queen Mathilde also loves modern jewelry. One must not forget they are young queens with young and modern ideas. It must not always be the classic jewelry that most of the royal ladies are wearing.

ردحذفI know another queen who likes big modern jewelry and she is much older than Maxima. She just turned 87 years old and she is wearing now and then modern necklaces designed by artistic jewel makers, it is Queen Sonja of Norway. What a remarkable royal lady.

حذفQueen Sonja has ventured into modern jewellery designing with craftsmen and worn many of the pieces she has been associated with.
Then there is the story that in1995, some of her jewellery that was sent to the famous English jeweller, Garrard’s of London for cleaning and valuation was stolen and has never been found.
Amongst the stolen pieces, there was a diamond and pearl tiara, a large suite of jewels and some smaller pieces of jewellery .
I think as compensation Garrard’s recreated some of the famous pieces. It was a story that was played down as much as possible as it was a great embarrassment to Garrard’s and their reputation.
