On June 26, 2024, Queen Camilla visited Christ Church CofE Primary School in Chelsea to see some of their literary activities for pupils. The Queen was shown a mosaic portrait of the King, which was created by the children and an artist for the coronation. The Queen also visited a reception class where she heard about the school’s “Shepherd and Sheep” reading scheme.
Camilla's dress is light, simple and quite pretty for the weather and time of year. It's her standard style of course, and a re-wear I believe. She looks happy and comfortable in it, so more power to her.
ردحذفHowever, having watched video clips of this visit, what impresses me more than the clothes is how well she gets along with the children at this school. She engages them is fun banter, and genuinely seems interested and happy in their work. Best of all, she brought them a gift of books to the delight of the students. Well done to her!
(PS Since she is still hosting the Japanese Emperor and Empress on Day 2 of their state visit, wouldn't she have included at least Empress Masako to accompany her on this visit? I find that unusual.)

ردحذفI thought we would never see this dress again. Yesterday evening "grand gala" and today a dress that is not appropriate, even if it is only to visit a school. She has other and better summer dresses to wear instead.

This is her working everyday uniform, appreciate the different trims and fabric. Nothing wrong with a well fitted dress, that is comfortable and the focus is on the event not her.

ردحذفI’m a minority on one. I find Queen Camilla’s style of dressing comforting. It’s like my grandmother who had a style and that was it. My grandmother wore Marie Dressler dresses.
