      "Check some fashion magazines ...."
Exactly. And really, there is no such thing as "old fashion" fashion. Fashion is cyclical. I had "work (i.e. office)" pants like this back in the '90s. And I remember being shocked as a kid when I saw an old black and white movie from the 1940s and some of the women were wearing wedge-heel/espadrilles shoes! I always thought those were invented in the early 70s. :-| That's why I always say any pieces of clothing you have that's great quality and still fits, don't through it away or donate it. Just tuck it away in your closet because at some point it will come back into fashion you won't have to buy it.

QM: Nice professional look. These camel Chloé trousers are a perfect fit. With her svelte physique she can wide-legs.
CPMM: I'm not fond of her in wide-leg trousers. The waistline is just below her breasts.
PIngrid: A young woman in a 'granny' dress. The pattern and colour, no.

      @ Amy
Modern grannies don't wear such dresses. Whether you like it or not
young women do. If a young woman wears a dress like that, she looks young and good in it, when and old(er) woman wears a dress like that, she looks even older.

Mary takes the lead with 2-1 ( I saw her evening dress wow!).
A pale blue with a gorgeous voile at the top, she looks smashing.
I like this overall picture with 3 shades of sand-coloring in it.

  7. Both Queen Mary and CP Mette-Marit are smart but unexciting. Princess Ingrid Alexandra looks great.

  8. Love Queen Mary's outfit, the pants are a divine fit, love the crisp shirt. Her accessories are perfect. That is a marvellous photo of the King with Princess Ingrid, she is a stunning young lady, a real natural beauty.

    1. Agree Ava. BUT when is King Frederik going to get a professional tailor to make his suits?
I'll see if I can get the telephone number of King Felipe of Spain for him.
Or I'll drop a note to his mother in the hope that she will take the matter in hand.

All three royal ladies look fantastic! Wonderful colors, accessories and fit. The outfit of King F is a total mess. The tie is too short plus he’s wearing a navy blazer over black pants/shoes.

Frederik is dressed according to the fashion. Like it or not, but nothing wrong with his attire.

I took a good look at King Frederik outfit and the problem is that he has short legs and a long body. That why his tie looks too short. His pants are good I think, not too tight or too short. Black and navy are colors that can be worn together. Many men wear a navy blazer over black pants and shoes. A black shirt worn with a navy suit is OK too.
Maybe a tie in a lighter blue would have given some better contrast.
