On May 22, 2024, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg attended a private recital given by the Escolania de Montserrat Boys Choir at Berg Castle. The Duchess accompanied the Spanish Ambassador, José María Rodriguez Coso, during the recital. The Escolania de Montserrat is a liturgical choir aiming to render service to the Sanctuary of Montserrat through its music project.
The choir is one of the oldest in Europe, since its creation dates back to the 14th century in Montserrat, a monastery 50 km northwest of Barcelona. Made up of 39 boys aged from 9 to 14, the choir is under the direction of Father Efrem de Montèlla, and will give a free concert at Luxembourg Cathedral on May 23.

ReplyDeleteSuperbe cette veste à simple boutonnage en cuir brodé mais surtout à ne pas porter sur une robe avec une trop large ceinture car cela empêche de la nouer ; peut-être que quelques centimètres en moins auraient été beaucoup mieux pour la morphologie de Maria Teresa !
ReplyDeleteExact ce blouson sexy ne va pas du tout à la morphologie de MT...c'est fou comme elle ne s'en rend pas compte...il faut le fermer comme sur le mannequin. Pour une femme jeune grande et sexy ok mais pas là....sa fille à la rigueur mais elle ne s'habille pas toujours bien non plus !

ReplyDeleteSorry, but as much as I like this stunning Armani jacket and with all due respect to Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, this piece is not designed to be worn this way.
ReplyDeleteIt is an edgy, sexy, chic& choc bolero to be paired with black leather skinny pants , a black leather corset and black high stiletto pumps for example.
This piece should be worn by a woman with a totally different height and body shape and also a totally different hair style imo
Surely not something appropriate for a religious recital!
I think it can totally be worn like this too -- and by a woman with any height. Styled like this, it's also quite appropriate for a religious event.

ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde has more or less the same jacket in golden metallic leather by Armani. She wore it in 2022 on a state visit to Lithuania. Sorry to say but it suited Queen Mathilde better than GD Maria Teresa.

Have just seen on their site that it comes in at a price of €8.900.
I think they have an Amani beauty and makeup range.

There are articles these days with a big ARMANI name on it and they are not so expensive. What did I saw when I did my last shopping in town ? Belts with the Armani name on it. Simple shopping bag in a sort of nylon with the name of Armani in big letters. Training trousers and hoodies, etc... Always in black with the name in white.
DeleteThe closed jacket on the model looks superb, combined with the pants she is wearing, the outfit looks stunning. With all due respect, to the GDMM, this outfit doesn't look good. The open jacket for starters and this style of dress, and color, overall look is not nice.

ReplyDeleteA bit harsh, no. The Grand Duchess isn't always dressed badly or inappropriately, like most people there are times when you "hit" and others when you "miss".
DeleteI don't like either the dress nor the jacket, but I wouldn't say she doesn't have good taste based on previous outfits.

Oh my, oh my, GD Maria Teresa in no good place fashion-wise. The Armani jacket is such a unique piece, very extravagant, but it should not be worn with that monstrosity of a gown/dress/whatever. And perhaps also not by a person who is not very tall. What on earth is she thinking?

ReplyDeleteThese two pieces do not pair well at all. I see Maria Teresa enjoying high end fashion but managing to bungle its execution time and time again. As mentioned above, this jacket looks fantastic worn closed, but when worn open, it loses something. It is as though no one has the courage to tell her how to wear her clothes to flatter both her and them.
