  1. The dress is a nice soft color but there's no way I would be able to walk in those high heels.

    2. I could walk on high heels ... in the past ! Unable today, that's life. Why not simply leave her to choose.

Like most things, it’s a case of practice! I used to be able to run (along school corridors en route to urgent incidents!) but don’t think I could do it now!

I really like this apricot day dress.
It's simple, with clean lines, no fuss , professional and minimalistic in its own way.
    The pumps are gorgeous.
    Well done!

I think the "oversized" envelope bag is practical to put papers in and/or a thin notebook she might need.

  5. Mi sembra un abito troppo stretto e poi quei tacchi altissimi...io mi sentirei a disagio anche con i filippini che notoriamente non sono giganti 😊

Why would you wear such high heels when you’re a giant and meeting not so tall people. It’s shows lack good manners.

Such a stupid comment. Would you expect visitors that are historically short in stature, such as the Filipino people, to wear high heels when visiting the Netherlands so their height is closer to the that of the locals? Of course not! We respect all people and their dress when they visit our countries, the world round. Maxima is dressed appropriately for the occasion and her country, without causing any offense. No matter the visitor and their nationality, they would do the same.

@ Anonymous or should I write to the high heels police ?
Even if she would wear flats and the not so tall women high heels, she would still be taller.

    4. Whilst on the subject of feet, high heels etc. I think Helen should organise a video conference on the subject of bunions as we seem to have pushed this all important subject to one side.
A good occasion for those of us who suffer in silence to speak out. When it comes to bunions I’m a “me-too”.
      Invitation should say “casual dress”.

I totally agree with anon 22:30.

Yes, why don't we establish three dedicated sections named:
feet issues , bunions and high heels/ hair envy/ height complex ,
so as to let @ Anonymous at all times lecture us all about her obsessions?

A lot of people forget that Queen Maxima is wearing once again a dress that she has at least for 9 years (according to "Modekoningin Maxima" the Dutch website about the fashion clothes of Queen Maxima).

In my view it shows lack of respect towards your hosts if you want to stick out above them by wearing very (!) high heels. Even on bare feet she would be taller than most people around her. Some modesty would suit the Dutch queen. Her taste in clothes is questionable. Sometimes she surprises you in a good way, but most of the times her outfits and jewelry are too much and seem to be worn mainly to draw attention. Andrea

      @Andrea
Even if Queen Maxima wears a potato bag she will draw attention. She is a beautiful woman she is always good looking and smiling and friendly to anyone, which cannot be said from every royal. What is she supposed to do, crawling on her hands and feet not to stick out above the people around her? I bet there are more people who like her clothes than those who don't. And who are you to say that she should show some modesty ? Her jewelry is certainly not too much when you compare her with the British royal ladies who are wearing and a tiara and a big necklace and earrings and a brooch. Queen Maxima in general is wearing a few good pieces of jewelry but always tastefully. In everyday life she is wearing a pair of modern earrings and her watch and bracelets she is always wearing. Of course good looking people especially women are drawing attention. I think there is a lot of envy from your part, otherwise you would not write a comment like that.

Goodness gracious, Andrea. I've never read such a pile of nonsense. It's no wonder that you're not a queen with that wallflower kind of attitude, because you'd make a terrible one with that mindset. What if Maxima was a very short person? What would you want her hosts to do? Crawl on their knees so they are the same height as her so as not to be rude??? Yes, I suppose that would be your answer. Whether you are a queen or not, you should dress in the style to which you are accustomed, and how it feels right to YOU and to your spirit, not how how you think you will look in other people's eyes. Most people couldn't care anyway.

      @ Anonymous as Andrea
      I entirely agreed with @- Anon 9:13.
You see aggressions where none exist.
People objecting to your clumsy comments just do it out of common sense.
You have a height complex amongst other insecurities and that's pretty obvious by now.
Can you realize how much of yourself you give away through your comments?
Yet again, you do not have to compete with any other woman, just come to terms with yourself, please.
It's simply called self- esteem so you either have it or lack it.
Either ways, please, refrain from putting down the beautiful royal ladies portrayed on this blog.
They are not responsible for the way you are feeling.
      Thank you.

@ Pthe O you’re lecturing women on their honest opinions … who’s insecure and competing with other women ? I’m not insecure about my length… I just prefer people that think of the people they meet and don’t want to outshine or don’t take others in to consideration.

Oh, no, don't t worry, Your Majesty @Anonymous at 09:16.
You see, my ego is so huge to cope with , I just pivot around myself all day long.
I do not need and do not have the time to compete with any other woman.
it's very likely to be quite the opposite from my own experience, if you know what I mean..

I am having the impression that more or less about the same time Queen Letizia started to have feet problems, some of the bloggers all of a sudden started to criticize Royal Ladies who are wearing high heels. This never happened before. I wonder who will be the next victim ? I am also wondering what will be the next hate remark we will have to read about Queen Maxima ?
Edwina your remarks are as hateful as Andrea's.
