On May 8, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden received the leader of the Swedish Liberal Party, Carl Johan Georg Pehrson, at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. During the meeting, Johan Pehrson gave information about various issues involving the Liberal Party.

ReplyDeleteI know that the Crown Princess family lives at Haga, but it just dawned on me as strange that when "receiving" a guest or dignitary, the Crown Princess is carrying a hand bag. Isn't there a place/office/room for her to place it while greeting guests? It seems odd. I would never greet/receive a guest with a handbag over the shoulder if at home or my office.

DeleteWhy always suppose things ? It is only one picture. She might just have arrrived. By the way since it is the custom here to compare every move of a royal with how the late Queen Elizabeth did it, well she always had her handbag on her arm or nearby when she received a guest in one of her many rooms/salons.

We have advisors and experts on baggy clothes, uneven hemlines, pussy bows, hats, hair, bras, bunions, jewelry, shoes etc. etc.
Maybe Helen could put up an ad on the blog to search for an expert.
Have always found it funny when they go around carrying a bag in their own home or palace.

Queen Elizabeth ALWAYS had a hand bag in hand, on her wrist, or sitting close by her, as do other royal women. The reason? The residence is large, and the hand bag carries essentials, that may be needed at a moments notice.
