I love the pink on Queen Mathilde, but the belt on the top is too high. I am unsure of what is on her head, but it does nothing for the outfit or for Mathilde. Maria Theresa looks good, I love the jacket. The trousers is just a little too wide.

I so much appreciate MT style she such a breath of fresh air among all the copycats.

GDMT’s blazer and trousers are lovely. Are they the “right” shape for her body? No. The jacket should be shorter and the trousers slimmer. But I admire her determination to wear whatever she likes regardless of conventional flattery.
Q.M.’s outfit isn’t much of a success either - the fussy hat, plain top, wrinkled trousers- she has better choices than this. (V.M.)

I do like the pink suit of the lady who accompanied them.
QM- I like the pink outfit,I just don’t love it.I think the belt is off putting.
GDMT- I love the AMcQ jacket.I would love to see it with a more slim lined trouser. Lowri.

Lovely spring colour on QM. As previously pointed out, she shouldn’t be wearing such high heels ; it’s a question of delicacy towards GD MTeresa
GD M Teresa looks very professional , however the trousers should be straight.

That is not a thing. Mathilde can wear whatever shoes she wants to wear.

  6. Je trouve que la veste de Maria Teresa imprimée sur fond blanc s'associe à merveille avec le pantalon en apportant de l'équilibre à sa petite silhouette !

Both ladies look very good. I agree with the first poster that Mathilde's belt is very high and MT's trousers are very wide. However, MT seems to wear them remarkably well and there is a good sense of proportion visible in that last photo; however I think that a more tapered trouser would match the beautifully cut peaked-shoulder jacket better for MT. White trousers would also look great with this jacket.

Special commendation to the other lady in the pink trouser suit who looks simply smashing.

I agree with you. I like MT's blazer: it makes a classic black and white outfit look edgy. The trousers this wide do make her look shorter than she is.
I do not like the cape part on Mathilde's top. If it were a nice top with sleeves and without belt, the outfit would have looked so much better. But the colour and pants suit her very much.

Heidi De Pauw, CEO of Child Focus, is wearing a great pantsuit indeed.

Visually these photos emphasize the distinctive shape of each. One tall, short high waist, long slim legs. The other short, normal waist for petite size, short legs in portion. QM nice colour for her, the solid colour shows every imperfection like creases in pants. QDM-T the floral jacket and blouse perfect fit her well and good for her silhouette. The wide leg pants are just a tad to wide making her look extremely short. Overall both look lovely.

The Grand Duchess looks very good. Great jacket and blouse but I don´t like the flared trousers. A pie of straight ones would have mad the outfit look great.
I am a big fan of Queen Mathilde but the fit of the upper part of this outfit is dreadful. No belt and a longer slim top would be much better for her body type.

  11. I like MT's blazer, trousers are excessively wide for her shape. For QM I am on the fence, color is fine, the fit not so good for her.

    1. I gave some more thought to it, QnM's oufit would suit her better without the belt.

When you are tall, you're tall. Wear your high heels, regardless of where you are.

This state visit is over, a lot of beautiful pictures and video's could not be seen here. During this visit King Philippe (very busy) had to leave his guests for a reception at the Royal Palace concerning the presidency of Belgium of the European council. Interesting detail : in the Royal Palace the students of the Royal Military School formed a welcome for the guests. Prince Gabriel was among them and the king talked to him and was so proud of his son. After that the king joined the queen and his guests again to continue the visit.
The receptions and the signing of the golden book in the townhall of Brussels and Ghent and in the Episcopal palace in Liège produced beautiful pictures and video's too, as well as the visit in the cathedral in Ghent to look at the famous restored paintings of Jan Van Eyck and his brothers "Het Lam Gods".

Today I must say I favor, MT's outfit over that of Mathilde's. The pink is nice but the whole thing looks kind of cheap. css

  18. Who is the non-royal lady in the pink suit with black buttons? She's leading with the style here.

How do I post here? I wanted to say that I think the non-royal lady in the pink suit with black buttons is the style-leader here. I tried posting this, but can't see it.
