Very nice colour on both Queens!

QL appears to be in pain in some of the pictures during this trip. Is she having issues with her feet. I’m not a fan of the pink coat work over the shoulders since QL has a small frame and it looks like a walking coat. The red dress is phenomenal on her. QM looks, acts and is dressed like a queen with her natural and charming personality shinning through. Lovely outfit on QM. MR

Completely agree on QM view. Ample/ oversized clothes don’t suit QL

Love that pink coat both colour and shape! I like the combination of pink and red.
Queen Maxima´s coat dress a bit too pale in colour and the fringe on the hips should go.

Queen Letizia looks vibrant and stunning. Queen Maxima looks great as well, but Letizia really steals the show here.

How is it possible: QM fades next to QL!

Both ladies look lovely, and once again, I really like is that they are dressed true to their individual personal styles.
Maxima is tall and statuesque in a structured and well fitting dress with a perfect length (I'm guessing it's Natan, from the looks of the oversized belt) and her large headband (I'm fine with it), and the more petite Letizia with her stylishly designed coat and dress by her go-to designer, Carolina Herrera. I like Letizia's two brightly coloured pieces separately but not together. Normally I like pink and red worn together, but in this case, the colour tones seem to clash. Maybe it's just the photos. At the very least it's a lovely splash of Spring colour.
Well done to both of them!

Natan is not the only one who follows trends in the different fashion styles. Other designers in one's own land and abroad are following these trends too. The dress Queen Maxima is wearing is not new it is a repeat. That is why the belt is so broad and the headpiece is out of fashion.

I really like Letizia's dress. But I would wear a coat of a different color (ivory, gray, camel...) with them. The brick-red color of the beautiful dress competes with the striking pink coat.

Love Letizia’ outfit. Whilst there is nothing wrong with Maximas, it just appears a bit dull when up against the strong colours. Km

Why do royal ladies wear their costs over their shoulders and not put their arms in the sleeve. It always make them look larger than what they are.

Take another look at the sleeves of the red dress. How would you get them into the sleeves of the coat? They would be bunched up ant totally wrinkled.

    2. Coats are not an issue for me. They are pleasant to look at. Letizia had some feet problem unfortunately.

It is not a "royal lady" thing for women to wear their coats over their shoulders. Until I read otherwise here, I thought all women did it. Why wouldn't you when you need a little something extra to cover you, or you don't want your clothes wrinkled by a coat. We have all seen how unforgiving the community here is when it comes to creases and wrinkles.

I like the red/orange dress of Queen Letizia by Caroline Herrera. I like the pink coat too and the pink handbag and shoes, but together no. I know it is fashion to make a combination of different tones of red, wine red, all sorts of pink. But it is very difficult to obtain the right combination. My preference go to wine red combined with pink, or red combined with wine red.
Queen Maxima wears one of her oldies but it still suits her. Maybe she dressed a little warmer to coop with the cold weather, good idea. Today it was better because the sun shines and it didn't rain, but it was still not warm enough.

Queen Letitia’s beautiful coat looked better with her arms inside it, see older photo’s.

I think Q.Letitia has actually outmaxed Q. Max with her vivid, colourful outfit! I love it. Although Q.M.’s outfit is a bit more subdued, her big personality still shines through. An excellent appearance by both queens. (V.M.)

I agree. QL looks modern, I love this dress on her (and I often don't really like her style although she always looks very elegant).
QM looks great too but she chose a very classic outfit.
They seem to know each other well, it's lovely to see!

Of course they seems to know each other well, King Felipe being the godfather of CP Amalia. Since King Willem Alexander and Maxima like to go on city trip to Madrid and Sevilla and CP Amalia apparently studied on-line in Madrid during a year they see each other probably incognito. Besides all the European royals know each other more or less well because they are all family of each other.

QL is the standout here. So beautifully vibrant.CH designs never fails on her.
QM-The big thick belt is off putting.
    Looking forward to tonight’s event.

I know red and pink are in the same colour family but I don't think they look good together. There are both so vibrant. I agree with other posters that a more neutral coat on Letizia would have made the red dress stand out more.

I agree with Kteach. Maxima's look has passed 'the sell by date'. I think the headband serves to hold hair extensions as a couple of weeks ago her hair was lifeless and really thin.
    Leticia looks fabulous.

If those are indeed hair extensions on QM, I wish she would consider wearing them all the time. It's a huge improvement over her usual thin flyawayhsir. As for QL, her new bob cut is #hair goals. Just so beautiful!

In my view, Maxima has done well to rewear this coat dress. It fits her well.

Red and pink would be a good combination, pink and orange..? Not so sure. The coat is also a rewear. I believe the dress is new. I would have paired them differently, given how many beautiful red dresses Letizia already has.

Both Queens look lovely. Queen Maxima has recycled her look but it’s a good look.
Queen Maxima seems to have lost her sincerity. She doesn’t look genuine when meeting the public, I see no connection, Letizia has a more engaging gaze.
Anyway… who knows. It’s possible Letizia is bored out of her mind. Again, both Queens look the part.

Letizia has been wearing smaller heels for a while now, I noticed back during the Danish State visit. Do we know why she was sitting during the receiving line?
