It’s nice for the Queen to sort of match with the soldiers with the coat and hat, both of which flatter her as well. Laughing that the black suede boots showed up again paired with a navy and red outfit!

Very good blend of uniform and coat dress.
The red beret is a nice style punch too.

  4. My first thought was --oh no, not another quasi military outfit! However, as I scrolled on I liked not only the colour combo of navy and red but even the epaulettes seemed not as strange as I first thought. I think it's a great look.

All the detailing on that coat is fantastic. This type of hat looks great on Camilla, even the feathers look very fitting. Fantastic outfit for Camilla (just maybe a little bit too tight).

I think Camilla looks fabulous! The coat fits her well, and I like her thematic approach to dressing for military-related events. The brooch belonged to the later QEII so its nice seeing it too

  7. Ce genre de béret rouge convient bien à Camilla surtout avec ces deux plumes ; piquées sur une insigne que nous pouvons retrouver épinglée sur sa poitrine ?!

Perfect military-esque style from Queen Camilla for her visit with the Royal Lancers. I love her beret with the feathers clasped together with what appears to be a badge brooch. Camilla really looks wonderful here.

Ridiculous all those coats and jackets that look like a uniform but aren't.
In this coat she even returned to the Middle Ages with her shoulders covered with pieces of a knight's uniform. I didn't see Queen Elizabeth often in a uniform but when she did, it was a real one. To me she was the only lady of the British royals who could wear a uniform.

Dear Anonymous 6:18, "... her first visit to the Regiment since being appointed as their Colonel-in-Chief" ... seems reasonable to me that with that role you can show up in military or pseudo-military wear. I think she looks stunning - and hey, why not have a bit of fun when you're 76 and just appointed colonel?! (Grace)

    2. Camilla looks smart in her "uniform".
Looks like a "jolly good time" was had by all.

      @ Grace and Deadeggs
In the U.K. they are generous with distributing titles to people who never had a military training on the one hand. On the other hand they are taking titles, uniforms and grades away from people who served in the British army and in war circumstances.

Goofy looking shoulder attachments look medieval in nature and just out of place.

  11. @09:30 `Goofy` and `out of place` really - the regiment dates back to 1689, look at pics 1,2 and 4 the officers have the same `attachments` on their shoulders , it is the Lancers uniform. QM is wearing as near to a uniform as she is allowed and I think carries it off very well. @22:35 the `brooch` is the emblem of the regiment, the late QE wore it when she was their Colonel-in-Chief. and now QM does.

Which QM do you mean ? Queen Mathilde, queen Mary, queen Maxima ?

Goofy looking indeed. Like others said, Queen Elisabeth never felt a need to dress alike to convey her role in military visits.

On the positive side, the beret is quite nice, it’s a good millinery style for Camilla.

Queen Camilla is looking beautiful. By the way stripping away Prince Harry’s military titles, honors & patronage simply because he has chosen to protect his wife and kids was one of the most brutal action towards him.
