On April 18, ahead of the Sainte Devote Rugby Tournament, 96 children participated in aquatic rescue activities at the swimming pool of the Stade Louis-II, in the presence of Princess Charlene of Monaco. These workshops allow young children of the village to learn first aid gestures and are a way to acquire the basics of rescue in a fun way.
These activities were created by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and supervised by the team of the Académie Monégasque de la Mer, led by Pierre Frolla, with the support of the Monegasque Red Cross.
The children from eight U-12 teams (South Africa, Ivory Coast, Greece, Mauritius, India, Ecuador, United States, Georgia) who arrived before the start of the rugby tournament , took part in various drowning prevention and first aid workshops organized by the foundation.
My opinion is that Charlene is at her very best (or at least, most photogenic because that is nearly all we see and know her by) when she’s just her sporty self, out of princess clothes, out of the need for perfection, and without shoes. I hope she can make this a greater part of her life over time. (Grace)

What comes through in these photos,is Charlene’s passion.Aquatic programmes is her area of expertise.So to be able to incorporate it in a fun way with the children,teaching them not to fear the water,is just splendid!
