The Dior's Naumachia Ball took place at the Arsenale Vecchio in Venice. The charity even was organized in collaboration with the Venetian Heritage. Beatrice Borromeo, as the Brand Ambassador of French fashion house Dior, attended Dior's Naumachia Ball fundraising dinner. To promote and preserve the Venetian Heritage Foundation, the funds raised at the Ball will be used to support the restoration project of the Porta Magna of the Arsenal.

    2. Perchè è figlia di un principe, ha sposato il nipote di un principe regnante e perchè é molto piu' raffinata ed elegante del 90% delle donne "royal" che appaiono qui. Dovrebbe bastare.

Because the person who owns and operates the blog wanted to?! It is after all not a public news provider but someone’s blog! ( Grace )

      @ Ellie.
The Borromeo's were already aristocrats during the period the Medici's reigned in Firenze.

Beautiful gown! Her husband Pierre is 8th in line to the throne of Monaco. Pierre is before his OLDER sister Charlotte, who is 11th. There is a mixture of older and newer laws governing the succession in Monaco. Remember Caroline was the firstborn and was supplanted by Albert. Let us be thankful women have made progress. It was Helen's judgment call to make. Christine

She is an aristocrat by birth into the ancient Italian House of Borromeo and by marriage into the Princely Grimaldi of Monaco. She is stylish, elegant and drop dead gorgeous. What else does she need?

I love the top in combination with the long (trousers?) skirt, but I'm not sure if I like the hard black colour of the cape combined with it.

  8. Indeed, Beatrice Borromeo-Casiraghi seems to be the only Monegasque lady to have similar class and grace like Princess Gracia (Grace Kelly) had. And she is not even related to her. Also, this blog features ladies and their fashion who are members of old aristocratic families, which are not always "royal", but could be "imperial" (Japan), "grandducal" (Luxembourg) or "princely" (Liechtenstein, Monaco, or other houses like Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, etc.) instead. Just because Ellie was asking.

    1. The difference I see between Beatrice Borromeo and Princess Grace of Monaco is that Beatrice was born with a centuries old Italian, noble pedigree pinned to her whereas Princess Grace was born in America from an affluent and influential migrant, Irish family.[Her father owned a brickmaking factory on the east coast of America.
The transition for Princess Grace to enter into a 12th century Principality was perhaps made easy for her as she had the advantage of being an academy award actress.
      She played her role perfectly.
p.s. @DSC : you could also mention that this site often features the wives of presidents who have, generally, nothing to do with Royalty.

These creations by Dior are so much better than the coat dresses made by Dior for Queen Mathilde. Maybe the queen could return for her next gala dress to the house of Dior instead of choosing for Armani.

So gorgeous! Love the details of the dress, especially the skirt, interesting pairing with a sleeveless cape. She is a beautiful woman and her lipstick color is fabulous. I wish I could pull back all my hair and look even half as elegant! J
