On 18 March 2024, in her role as Advocate for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Queen Mathilde of Belgium participated in the 3rd edition of the European Humanitarian Forum in Flagey, Brussels. The Queen first met with young speakers from various panels of the forum.
The European Humanitarian Forum is co-organized by the European Commission (DG ECHO) and Belgium within the framework of its Presidency of the Council of the EU. This year's forum focuses on the financing gap and setting priorities in light of current humanitarian challenges, forgotten conflicts and fragile humanitarian environments.
Nice dress, hair styling looks rather "home made". Should mean more "natural" but that is not the impression I get.
ReplyDeleteI agree, her dress is nice and her hair-styling looks a bit off. Her hair looks rather tall and sprayed.

If there is a lot of wind I use hairspray too before leaving the house.
DeleteI am not sure she uses hairspray as abundantly as some claim ; she has this sort of hair which take a styling rather naturally and "do what they want".
DeleteThis red dress looks good, I like the length and fit of this dress. The color red she wears beautifully. The earrings are large, but a good choice no necklace to be seen. Her beige accessories, ( it looks beige on my screen ) perfect choice.
ReplyDeleteSimple elegant red dress. Looks great.
ReplyDeleteElegant dress with simple lines--very flattering style for Queen Mathilde--as well as a beautiful shade of red--a wonderful color for Mathilde. I like that she chose such neutral accessories--another touch of elegance. Sometimes Mathilde gets to matchy-matchy for me and I'm glad the only red is the dress and she chose to not wear red shoes and bring a red purse. She looks fabulou here!

During her visit to Queen Camilla lately, Queen Mathilde wore also beige shoes. She accessorized the camel cape with a fuchsia clutch the same color as her dress. If she wears a monochromatic look which have been very trendy the last 2 or 3 years, she sometimes wear shoes, clutch or handbag in the same color as her dress or coat.
Deletebei Maxima gehen die Wogen immer hoch betreffend ihrer Frisur aber leider hat Mathilde seit Jahren einen ganz schlechten Haarschnitt
ReplyDeleteHer hairdresser which belong to the haute coiffure will not be happy to hear that. I have heard he started his career in Paris and afterwards opened one or two salons in Brussels. I think Queen Mathilde does not go to him for each working visit she has to do. I know he comes to the Palace of Laeken before an important event or state visit is on the agenda. Although the temperatures are very soft the last 2 days, there is still a lot of cold wind sometimes. If you wish your hair stay in place you have to use hair spray.
DeleteYes to the colour, no to the dress and noooo to the hair.
ReplyDeleteSuperbe dans cette robe rouge mais il me semble que ses cheveux mériteraient d'être raccourcis par une petite coupe dégradée !
ReplyDeleteThe lady in red. Very nice look for Q Mathilde. css
