The Princess also visited the recently refurbished Dryfesdale Lodge Visitor Centre which serves as a memorial centre for the lives lost during the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. Two hundred and seventy people were killed when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded in the sky over Lockerbie on the evening of 21 December 1988.

    1. “Hello” fashion magazine gave this information today (26 March 2024)
“Princess Anne first wore the coat to attend the Royal Christmas Service at Sandringham Church on December 25, 1990”.
That is over 30 years ago.

The Princess Royal looks so elegant in her coat. This is place of solemnity and mourning which is mirrored on the face of the Princess, especially in the 3rd photo. A friend's daughter lost her fiance in this terrible tragedy. Her life was devasted and remained so for years. What a somberly beautiful memorial.

Well apparently I am the only one who don't like this coat. The shoulders are too wide for the Princess. The fabric looks like the tweed one used in the old days for men's coat. She was far more better dressed in the red coat she wore not so long time ago (some pretend she received or borrowed it from Princess Catherine). I can imagine her in a navy coat with the same cut as the red one. That would have been a good style for Princess Anne. At least she would have looked up to date.
