At the invitation of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel and First Lady Eva Pavlova are making a state visit to Luxembourg. On February 29, The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess welcomed the President and his wife with a state ceremony held in front of the Grand Ducal Palace.
Beyond diplomatic ties, our two countries share centuries-old history: in the early 14th century, John the Blind was Count of Luxembourg and King of Bohemia, now the Czech Republic. Over the two days, the delegations will cover a dense program including subjects related to education, research, technology as well as defense.

I like the First Lady's outfit very much - with and without the coat. That lovely blue colour (sometimes it looks blue, sometimes lilac, sometimes grey!) and the styling of the top suits her very well. Her skirt is a good length too.
ردحذفAs for MT, I think that the longer jacket, wide trousers and large print of the coat fabric overwhelms her petite frame and make her look smaller than she already is. She looks better in more tailored and smaller print outfits.
Let's see what this evening will bring in the way of evening wear.

ردحذفMrs. Eva Pavlová (59 years) graduated from a military school and worked in the army. (President Peter Pavel is an army general, he also served as deputy commander of NATO forces in Brussels). She was not known for fashion, she often wore a military uniform, but after her husband's entry into politics, she got advice from local Czech fashion designers. So, thankfully, we can count that she won't appear in something by Nathan or Etro.
ردحذفI think that the first ladies of the Czech Republic, but also of Poland, and the incumbent Madamme President of Slovakia can be models of elegance, and it's a pity that their models are only seen here occasionally when they visit some royals.
The Czech Republic has historical ties with Luxembourg. The Luxembourg dynasty ruled in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary in the 14th and 15th centuries.

حذفMT is a lovely looking woman, she is petite, and has had 5 children. She has earned the right not to be wafer thin. She needs to stop trying to camouflage her body. She needs a new stylist, someone willing to promote her best assets: her compassion, her smile, and being a great Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.

We all know she is a great wife and her husband loves her, she is also a great mother and she is always so happy when she has her grandchildren around her. She already changed her style several years ago. The make-over was a very good decision. Unfortunately she cannot change her height. The best stylist cannot change that either. It is not always easy to find clothes that are fashion and are at the same time appropriate for someone who is short.

Madame Pavlova’s dress is a lovely colour and looks good with the cream coat. I’m not sure about the top. I like the Grand Duchess’s jacket but don’t think her outfit is especially flattering to her
ردحذفFirst lady Eva Pavlova is looking very elegant in her lilac/light blue 2 pieces dress. The coat looks nice too, but is more appropriate for Spring. Her make-up looks a bit pale.
ردحذفGD Maria-Teresa is looking lovely but she should have chosen a plain and shorter coat in the same grey as her trousers. The print of this one is not recommended for a short lady. I like her shoes.
I love the coat the Grand Duchess is wearing and think she looks great. She has unusual style and sometime misses the mark. It works for me, in fact, I want the coat she's wearing, lol, off to Poshmark.....

ردحذفThe First Lady had a lovely outfit. MT had a odd patterned jacket and shiny pants/shoes, not for a day occasion. MT's jewelry was modest and appropriate.
