In the context of her activities as an Advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the UN and in particular SDG 3 (good health and well-being), Queen Mathilde visited CHC Mativa in Liege, a residential care center that encourages intergenerational activities and involves residents in its daily management.
Thereafter, the Queen attended the seminar titled "Mental health in the elderly" organized by the Plate-Forme Psychiatrique asbl, Sante (PFPL) at the Opera Royal de Wallonie.

Yes to the top, the belt is not necessary and the skirt is quite bulky. Hair styling is quite good.

ردحذفI like the colours very much but I don't think that this style of pleated, frothy skirt suits Mathilde's figure that much. It is less suited to a high waist and broad hips and more suited to a slender frame. I also think she would have looked better with the blouse collar as shown on the model.

I agree that the V necked blouse looks better but I think that the skirt would have flowed much better without the bulky belt
حذفQueen Mathilde in one of her older outfits. She wore this blouse and skirt on several occasions during Winter 2021 and 2022, combined with shoes, same clutch and/or high boots, which she has for several years. I like her in these colors, the wine red suits her very well. On the picture taken upon arrival (not shown here) Queen Mathilde wore the same reversible cape (grey/blue) Queen Maxima has.

حذفIt is not outdated at all. Take a minute and google pictures of Queen Mathilde. When she was a young princess she had her hair shorter and flat against her head, separation in the middle. Not bad in those days, but now as a sophisticated, elegant woman she is, it would not suit her any more.

I love this color on QMat--its fantastic on her. She looks wonderful here and her blouse is beautiful. Hmmm--not a fan of the skirt because the fabric pattern is just too busy (at least to me). The shape of the skirt is really good for her though--fluid and more of an A-line cut. I am happy she added a belt but not this one--she needs to wearslim belts, not wide ones. I do love that her boots are burgundy too--every stylish.

Slim belts are not a good idea to wear with a skirt like this. They stay not in place. A slim belt on a dress, yes. Queen Mathilde has several dresses with a slim belt.

ردحذفWhen the skirt was new it was fashion to wear such a busy fabric, for dresses as well. But it is not new. Queen Mathilde spent half as much money on her outfits in 2023 than during the years before. I can only applaud that and I have to say : "Very good your majesty, to keep on giving the right example to this spending to much money society we are living in".
