On January 6, 2024, King Felipe, Queen Letizia and their daughter Crown Princess Leonor (the Princess of Asturias) attended the traditional military parade, that is, Pascua Militar at the Royal Palace of Madrid. Pascua Militar, the Military Easter, has been celebrated by the Spanish Army on Epiphany Day since 1782. King Felipe presided over the celebration as the commander of the Armed Forces.
The origin of the Military Easter dates back to the reign of Charles III, when, on January 6, 1782, the Menorcan town of Mahon, which was in the power of the English, was recovered. As an expression of joy, the King ordered the viceroys, governors and military commanders to hold a parade and a celebration on the feast of the Epiphany.
What a wonderful Queen Leonor will make! Such a mature young lady who takes her duties seriously. Her parents must be so proud of her! Letizia looks very elegant in her outfit..it’s simple but classic. Her ponytail is so sleek and Felipe, as always, is as handsome as ever. No one wears a uniform better!

DeleteFunny Princess Marie of Denmark did not get good comments for her ponytail the other day. To me it was as beautiful as Queen Letizia's. I also think that the waist of Queen Letizia's skirt is too high.

The pant length on the uniforms is perfect, compliments to the tailor. The queen’s blouse color choice works well with the different uniforms. All look good.

The blouse is beautiful, I love the simple collar, fabric and design of this blouse. It looks fabulous with the skirt. Her clothes always fit her so beautifully. She must have a splendid dressmaker. I love her hair tied back, neat and chic. I'm not sure who the gentleman is that is walking with the royal ladies in the 3rd photo down. He looks so well groomed and attired. A handsome man, he has been in photos before, Prime Minister?
