I don´t like this shapeless jacket, never did. I am not sure about the idea of a fluffy polo neck sweater with short sleeves. Makes me feel cold, brr

The houndstooth pattern of the jacket is nice. I tried to look up the details on the Baum website, but the jacket wasn't on the USA version of the website. Is that a bulky wool fabric, or lightweight? Maybe I spent too many years wearing blazers in offices, but I don't like the drape of that jacket with a skirt. Claire

By looking at the jacket I suspected that it was not made of wool but it was made of synthetic material (good quality wool garment do not have this kind of cheap look). And so it is: Main material: 50% recycled polyester, 50% polyester. Lining: 55% polyester, 45% viscose.

And the skirt is also plastic

If she wore a real leather skirt the general opinion would be it is not done to wear this material, just like it is not done to wear real fur. The jacket has not a cheap look but an up to date shape which is rather wide. I think it must look better on trousers. A lot of clothes are made of recycled polyester these days. If one does not recycle all the polyester that has been used in the past, there will be not enough place on earth to store it.
I think her sweater is made of wool from some kind of goat ? But for that she gets critics too because of the short sleeves. If she felt cold she would not wear it. I wore this kind of sweaters too when I was young, now that I am older I am not buying this anymore because I feel cold very quickly.

  5. Très jolies couleurs de cette veste pied-de-poule que je verrais plutôt portée avec une jupe moins ample ; son haut à col roulé me paraît très doux !

Not a fan of this outfit. Leather for a public event is not what I would wear. The jacket is sort of boxy looking. Well Victoria is allowed to make a wardrobe! mistake once in a while. css

@ css . Queen Letizia wears leather all the time and everybody likes it. It is not because you don't like it that she made a mistake.

Sadly, I do not think the jacket and shirt complement each other. This is a miss for me. Virginia Dogwood

Victoria needs another stylist. Daniel - why does he always wear dark blue ill fitting suits? Looks like he’s on his way to some high end dinner. They could both do so much better. C

Dear C, I think Daniel has adopted a sort of uniform since his huge change of lifestyle when becoming a prince, and I think he looks therefore consistently neat and appropriate in his suits. Where do you see the ill fittingness? I saw him speak in a forum a few years ago and although one speaker was more formally dressed and two much more casual, he looked relaxed and appropriate (and spoke extremely well) in his navy suit. - AnneLise

Better a plastic hair clip than straw hair.

Would you, anonymous, please stop making these inane references to straw hair? Thank you, Grace.

I could ask to stop the comment about the plastic hair clip. It is exactly the same.

  12. The jacket seems to lack shape. There seems to be a disconnect between the jacket and the top she is wearing. The skirt is okay, though not a fan really of leather skirts.

That shapeless jacket doesn’t go with the wide skirt in my opinion. But other than that, she looks great. Love the top and skirt.

I like this! So much better than her floral dresses and most of her pant suits. This outfit has a more modern flair and is perfect for a dressed down company.

The jacket destroyed the outfit. The rest I like. This is pretty much the same way I would put this outfit together. A nice shorter wool jacket would have been so much nicer.

This jacket doesn’t do her any favours. In fact it would only look reasonable on a super skinny person and with the matching mini skirt. Otherwise, and in particular with a flared skirt, looks totally shapeless and poorly tailored.

Love the Soft Goat turtleneck sweater. It appears so warm, soft, and brings life to CP Victoria's outfit. Edwina
