I love the Zimmerman dress but just wish (hopelessly) that it wasn't so long! Don't care much for her shoes either.
The pink trouser suit looks great and she's wearing some snazzy shoes there. She should have swapped the shoes with those 2 outfits.

  2. En regardant mieux, je trouve que Sophie est ravissante dans le modèle Zimmermann même si je l'imagnie légèrement plus court surtout porté avec ce style de chaussures blanches !

Sophie looks gorgeous in that Zimmerman dress - beautiful colours for her- although I’m not sure why the designer added the dressing gown girdle/tie to the otherwise stunning dress. Least best dressed for me is the model in blue with pink hair; I cannot work out if that’s also a dressing gown or a street outfit? Can just be the camera angle. (Grace)

What was the reason she visited Columbia? She has been in S America for several days, busy lady. I like the pink suit and the dress by Zimmermann. Hope this trip was a success... css

  5. Lots of good outfits for the Duchess of Edinburgh on this trip. The pink trouser suit is lovely although the trousers are just a touch short for the shoes she is wearing. I loved the long blue dress until I saw the clumpy sandals. If only she'd swapped the shoes for the ones she wore with the trouser suit.

The DoE is doing (and has done) a wonderful, faithful job. She looks especially lovely in that gorgeous Zimmermann dress (love the color, fabric design, sleeves, length, & cut) which is definitely her color palette even though it seems a smidge long.

Duchess Sophie is looking good in her pink pantsuit. The dresses however as always, too long and combined with the wrong shoes. Zimmerman and Max Mara are brands which are very becoming for tall women. Sophie who is not very tall will never look good in one of those. On top of that the Max Mara dress has a very sad color and looks like a house dress women used to wear to clean the house.

I think she likes long dresses. She mostly wears them so I think she likes them. Seems a great reason to keep wearing them. (Grace)

  8. So we continue to talk about getting the scissors out and hacking off some of the bottom of Duchess Sophie's dresses.
I think we just have to accept that this is a British fashion style/length and the way she likes to wear her clothes.
Well, I suppose it’s a break from the bloggers who want to get their scissors into Princess Kate’s hair. 😁
p.s. The Zimmermann dress is the winner for me.

      Hello, @ Deadeggs.

I'll begin with the getting scissors into Pss Kate's hair ' topic' first.
Well, nothing new, all the same boring stuff.
Anyway, Kate's isn' t the only one who is targeted for her luscious, long, thick hair among royal ladies.
Unfortunately, this often happens in real life as well.
I myself happened to bump into some female hairstylists more than a couple times and I noticed their being annoyed by my thick long hair!
      Always the same refrain:
" Dear, why don't t you trim your hair just a few inches?
It is healthy but you still need a change, no?"
      I thought...
"Oh come on, give it up and say the truth, you wish you had it yourself!
You are not being professional, just envious and it shows...

(And a lack of decency on their part too, not even some dignity left to just hide their real feelings).

I don' t want to so why do you still keep on with this boring tune?"

It got annoying and increasingly a nuisance to hear for me as well to the extent that I opted for male hairstylists and still be an almost regular visitor in their salons!

You know I often talk about envy and jealousy on this site whenever I see how stupidly they are showed up on this platform just because I experienced how cruel, blind and pointless they can be and can turn even the best person into a mentally ill hater.
I experienced how women's hate can be the worst type ever.
I am a tough woman and do not care a little bit about what other women say about me but I know that some other women can be over sensitive to critics/ bullying on their physical features.
I've chosen salons run by men to be left alone .
They kindly suggest without being intrusive and intolerant so I feel free to choose what to do with my own hair.
Fact is that a woman is not guilty for what nature has gifted her with, she surely didn't ask for It and she never should pay for the beauty she has been granted.

Now to Duchess Sophie's most meaningful trip.
Honestly, I don't feel like commenting anything fashion- wise.
I just applaud this sweet, kind and engaged lady for having devoted her efforts and part of her agenda to such a worthy cause.
Kudos to her for highlighting and supporting womens' terribile conditions in Colombia and all their hard fighting against all sorts of abuses.
This catwalk Is the visible sign of women's resilience and search for better living conditions in a hostile environment.
Sorry, I feel that talking on the length of Sophie's s dresses is void of any sense in this particular context.

The color and pattern of the Zimmerman dress are pretty on Sophie. I do not care for the rope belt on it, however.

Duchess of Edinburg looks enchanting and sets trends in the UK. She has long been a fashion icon for monarchists because she makes no compromises.

  11. The Zimmerman dress is beautiful. Love the fabric, design and use of colors. I'm not so keen on here choice of sandals. The pattern of the dress is beautiful. Its wonderful to see Sophie wear a Australian designer. The pink pantsuit is stunning, the color suits her well.

      Dear@ Anonymous starring as Virginia,
firstly, I think you should learn that your addressing people this way is bad form.
Anyway, my comment was in reply to @ Deadeggs, so that your attention was not requested.
Feel free to skip over my comments or to ignore them.
I bet my comments touch some sensitive nerves in you (long hair, women's beauty and much more, maybe?)), that's why you felt the need to write back.
Or is just basic reading comprehension an issue- among others- to you?
Please, keep your considerations to yourself.
You could try to spend your time on improving your behaviour, no?

Dear P. the Original, When I went to school I was told off if I used rambling, woolly sentences and encouraged to write clearly.

      I'm awfully sorry.
I forgot that you attended Eton College in the forties.
Pity that telling you off didn't result in your writing clearly and correcty, quite the opposite.
The more the maze in your mind, the more confused your comments.
Eton couldn't help you solve your issues.
