On October 24, 2023, King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace for the Kenyan diaspora in the UK ahead of their state visit to Kenya at the end of October. The visit will take place from Tuesday 31st October to Friday 3rd November 2023. King Charles and Queen Camilla’s tour, which begins next Monday, follows an invitation from Kenyan President William Ruto whose country is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its independence from Britain.

حذفQC looks good but I really can't see enough of her dress to make a decision--it appears to be a new dress too. What I really love seeing here are the Kenyan ladies--their beautiful outfits are so elegant. I really love the whole ensemble worn by the lady talking with QC in the first photo with guests. The next photo of the lady with KC3 shows such a beautiful lady--her outfit is completely different but again so elegant. The next photo with QC shows yet another lady who has created a lovely evening look. The one thing all ladies have in common is their ability to mix traditional Kenyan fabric styles/patterns with a modern twist that results in great fashion.

But why does Queen Camilla have to wear animal prints when hosting Kenyan guests, she might think to celebrate the diversity of animals in the country but it might come across offensive to some.

حذفThe dress is made in the same cut and shape as all her dresses, no matter which fabric is used. She'd better went to an African designer (or of African origin) who could have made her something original. I wonder if African people expect white queens to dress in African colors, or do they prefer them to wear their western outfits ? The black lady in the 4th picture seems to wears a lovely dress : African colors in a Western shape (unfortunately we cannot see the entire dress) ? Rose
