The Riksdag's gift to the King is an eight square meter tapestry, which will be hanged in the Royal Palace's western staircase. The fabric has been made by using a watercolor painting that had been created by artist Lars Lerin with the title "Sten i vatten". Frida Lindberg has been artistic director, and weavers have been Ebba Bergström and Tova Vibrandt.

On 13 September, the staff of the Royal Court also gave a gift to the King on the occasion of his 50 years on the throne, which is being celebrated this year. The Royal Court's staff has collected funds to be able to erect two of the King's monograms at the gates to Logården.

Not the most happy bunch of people.....A real smile from Victoria only and her dress is fantastic this time I think! The Queen is always perfect. The Kings sister Christina is always a very nice person, very natural and the color of her outfit with her hair is so pretty. The artist, Lars Lerin, is a fantastic person in all aspects. I feel a little sorry for the staff collecting money to give a present to the King.....I think it should be the other way round. C

Beautiful silvery dress for the Crown Prinsess. Suits her well.

I like CP Victoria's light blue coat. I never liked the dress which is a repeat. I find it a too sad color for her. Princess Madeleine is also wearing a coat in a very drab color and dress underneath looks sad too. Princess Sofia's light blue trench coat looks lovely. Her hair in a pony tail is a nice change. She looks so young all of a sudden. Queen Silvia of course is always elegant.
I think we must get used to the autumn and its colors. It has been good weather for a long time and it is not finished yet in several countries of Europe. Lucky there are a lot of beautiful fashion colors of which we can choose of in the coming season. Rose

Now Lars Lerin's paintings will increase even more, pricewise.
