Queen Mathilde arrived in New York to attend the Sustainable Development Goals Summit to be held in the framework of the 78th United Nations General Assembly. The 193 member states of the United Nations are meeting in New York for a special summit about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Queen Mathilde attended the "Champions for Children" event at the UNICEF headquarters yesterday evening. The Queen gave a speech at the event, and stressed the need to make progress in implementing the sustainable development objectives for the most vulnerable children. At the event, the Queen also met with the First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.
Queen Mathilde, as a special advocate of the Sustainable Development Goals arrived at the Summit in New York on Sunday. Together with Jill Biden she also met with Queen Rania. I saw a beautiful picture of the three ladies together. Queen Mathilde will return to Brussels tonight.
ReplyDeleteShe wore her orange two-pieces trousers and top the 1st day. Yesterday she wore her black and white skirt with a white blouse. She is dressed appropriately for this visit. The last pictures I saw she was wearing black pants, a black and white blouse, a raincoat and an umbrella.

She continues to be one of my favourite royals. Mathilde has this wonderful countenance about her that warms the heart.

The clear winner - as far as fashion is concerned - is the lady in the salmon colored suit and white top - professional and elegant. I think it is Mrs. Agatha Duda - the wife of the Polish president. Besides, at 51, she still has a great figure. This lady's outfit is worth paying attention to. You also wrote about her on this blog, during royal visits to Poland she was always well and appropriately dressed - better than royal ladies. They could learn from her.

DeleteVous m'avez devancée dans ma réponse. Je pense comme vous en disant que la dame dont vous parlez est madame Duda, l'épouse du président polonais ; en effet, j'avais déjà remarqué sa silhouette portant avec élégance des tenues dont quelques royales devraient s'inspirer !
The Queen as usual looks fabulous always elegant and well groomed. She has such a sweet inner nature, I think she is simply lovely.
ReplyDeleteLike the orange top and although I never really like horizontal stripes the skirt looks good on Queen Mathilde. Both outfits seem appropriate and smart for the event.
