Now the hard part start. Hope the Paps leave her alone. Today every one of the RL looked very good. I am sure it must be hard on the family to know their oldest daughter, is now in the Military. css

When she is on good secured military base the paparazzi won't be able to shoot pictures of her. When her physical training starts in the woods for example it is more difficult to keep the paparazzi on a distance. After a while her teachers and superiors could organize a visit for the press and television where they can make pictures of her and maybe a little interview. After that one could ask them to leave her in peace so that she can accomplish her studies and training. It worked for Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, maybe it will work for Princess Letizia too. 4. A very emotional moment : proudness, fears, kisses ... I read that she might have to go to the army hairdresser .... hopefully they might be satisfied with a littles strict bun ... I hope for her.

Normally the women soldiers who wish to keep their long hair have to make a little bun. I see it is done that way in other countries, so I think Spanish Military Forces will ask their female students to do the same.

The last photo is so sad - for any parent. Hopefully they had private goodbyes earlier.

  6. Princess Leonor looks fabulous. Infanta Sofia looks equally great, love the green blouse and white jeans. Queen Letizia as always looks lovely in her beige pantsuit. What a wonderful experience for the Princess. King Felipe, looks outstanding in uniform.

Dear Helen, this is your blog and I'm very thankful for it, but could you consider removing the last pictures?? When the actual goodbyes are taking place? We don't need to see them. I know that won't give them their privacy back, but they do deserve it, plus we have plenty other pictures.
    Thanks for considering my request

  10. Une petite pointe d'émotion et beaucoup de fierté pour accompagner Leonor qui je pense sera à l'abri dans l'enceinte de l'Académie militaire !

I guess Leonor' s military service will last at least for six months.
What a beautiful, confident and strong girl she is!
    A touching moment.
I wish Leonor all the best throughout her military training.
It won' t be easy but I' m sure she' ll be successful.

It says the time in the military will last for three years, and then off to university.

@P. the original. I heard Princess Leonor started at the Military Academy for 3 years. Perhaps a military service is included in these 3 years. If it is the same as in other European countries that studies at a Military Academy is the equivalent of a university degree, she will have a good basic education to start other academic studies she might like. But the future will tell us what she wants to achieve. Rose

      @Anonymous, here we go again..
You wasted a lot of useless words and did not read the captions.
I did not say that ALL of her training service Is expected to last for six months, I only said that her MILITARY training ( it means in the army) will probably last for six months.
Do you know what the difference?
She will undergo different trainings with three different corps: the army, the navy and the air force.
It Is expected to last around three years ALTOGEThER.
I only mentioned her current training
      and only in the army.
Is that all right with you or are we going to dispute things you do not have any expertise on?
Please stop, you do not know the subject nor have you ever experienced any form of training in any military academy, I' m pretty sure about It.
      Try again with fashion, bye.

Of course, @Anon., I said that it should last at least ( it means: a minimum time of) for six months.
It could take longer only in the army.
A year is a reasonable amount of time to train in the army.
Hopefully it is all clear to you now.

The expert has spoken. Even if she makes a mistake she turns and twists her words to get it right as if she has experienced military training herself.

      Oh, cherie Anon.18:06,
I DID my training , it took place at a centre in the area of an Air Force base (not in Spain).
My training was sooo hard and aimed at achieving different skills and expertise but I remember seeing pilots doing their own training too.
It would be a waste of time on my part if I only tried to explain to you.
      You would get lost.
Believe me, just quit your controversial positions before coming across as a simpleton.
You would have been done for since the very first day, if you had been tested in every aspect like me and others were at that time.
What can I do if you just can't get enough of your own misinterpretations ?
      Bye,cherie.
