On June 10, 2023, Queen Margrethe of Denmark presented the poetry award "Prince Henrik Prize 2023" to poet Caspar Eric in the banquet hall of the Danish Authors’ Society in Copenhagen. The Queen also presented a statuette to Caspar Eric. The Prize is awarded annually to a Danish poet on the occasion of the late Prince Henrik's birthday. Prince Henrik was born on 11 June 1934 in Talence.
Throughout his life, Prince Henrik was actively involved in a number of artistic forms of expression, both as a poet and sculptor. As a result of the Prince's personal and lifelong interest in art, including poetry in particular, the Queen gave permission last year for a poetry prize to be named in Prince Henrik's name.

What a beautiful dress that fits HM like a glove! The color is wonderful for her. She is such a remarkable lady. I see she is using a cane--hoping her recovery from her surgery is continuing.
