Beautiful hairstyle on the Queen. The dress is gorgeous except the top portion. Why do these dressers not point out to these ladies that they need a better bra, for their outfits? This would have been an amazing outfit if it wasn’t for this mistake, shame.

You forget she isn't young anymore. A bit of respect please for an older lady who is still very beautiful and is still in good shape. I am sure she has access to the best underwear there is today. There are other royal ladies who don't look as good as she does and who are younger.

I don't think that the comment was disrespectful, she is saying that the dressers should look for better underwear, that's it.
The queen looks indeed lovely, and probably this is why her hair is been so long lately, maybe planning a nice updo for the coronation as well.

It is a delicate matter, because it is about "gravity", when you try to "lift" with a bra, it can be quite painful. The body changes when aging, that's all.

I see the point, so she needs a dressmaker, who is familiar with it. e.

Lovely Queen Silvia. Once again an inspiration to those of us who are slightly more mature😀 Great dress, fantastic updo

    1. Yes AnnieM, a great inspiration.
      Good workmanship with her updo.
The lady standing next to the President (his wife?) has opted for a low key, no risk dress for the occasion.
But I think King Carl steals the show with his tux, medals and sundry decorations. Perfect image of a King.
Unless things have changed, Queen Silvia will not be attending the Coronation on Saturday.
Princess Victoria with be accompanying her father for the occasion.

Annie M, I had to laugh at what you said 😀 I’m part of the slightly more mature group myself.I’m ten years younger than Queen Silvia, but I haven’t looked that good in at least 30 years! Joanne

Similar silhouette for the Queen and it works every time. She looks fantastic and should win an award for that fabulous hair!

The Queen looks great. Not my favourite tiara but the tiny rubies match the riband. Mrs Karis´dress is beautiful. Love the dragonfly motiv and navy blue color.

  8. The Queen's up style hair is a work of art, beautifully coiffured, soft looking. Her dark blue gown is simply stunning. By the look of it she is wearing a tiara with flecks of ruby stones, as well as earrings, I think. The diamond necklace is gorgeous. She is always immaculately groomed, a class act. The red color of her sash offsets her gown, not sure what the stone of her brooch is, sapphire or ruby with diamonds?

The brooch is a ruby with diamonds. The tiara is the Crown prinsess Margaret's ruby tiara, a gift on her wedding day from her aunt and uncle, King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra

  10. The Queen's hair is just gorgeous. She has excellant tiara hair. It is not my favourite tiara but she looks wonderful. The dress is for me a miss and I don't know why. I know I don't like the fit, nor the shiny lining showing through, nor the slight scoop of the neckline maybe it is just the sum total of the little details that make it a dissapointment for me. I just find it not her most flattering evening attire. I think the diamond necklace does not add anything to it al. It is just distracting rather than enhancing the whole look.

    deadeggs,
Please note that the king is n o t wearing a tux.
He is wearing white tie and tails.
Tux/tuxedo/dinner jacket is a slightly less formal garment.

We all comment on the Queen, yet the King is dressed well, except for the dour look he always has on his face. One rarely sees him smiling.
