Both families look wonderful. Princess Marie's fuscia Armani set looks very good on her and contrasts well against the darker suits of the men in her family, and especially Countess Athena's dress which incorporates the colours together.
Whether by accident or design, the colour palette of the CP family's clothes, especially one involving so many colours and shades, works extremely well! I'm quite surprised but I love that the tonal effect works. Christian's green suit looks sort of military, but on a young lad like him, it can easily pass for contemporary style.
Congratulations and best wishes to Count Henrik on his confirmation.

  2. The green suit on Prince Christian is a look one needs to get used to. The rest of the family looks fabulous.

  3. Josephine looks fantastic. I also like Marie´s pink number, although it´s a bit loud. Everyone else looks meh. It´s hard to find a good suit for growing boys.
Also, Christian should change his hairstyle. This one is not very attractive.

    1. Marie's outfit is the same one as the one worn by Pr Elisabeth during her recent visit to Egypt, as far as I can remember.

Marie looks wonderful and Josephine is lovely in her yellow dress, but I would have chosen a different jacket, in a lighter colour, not this dark blue or even black jacket, which "kills" the dress.

    1. I find the pairing with the navy jacket very successful. Great contrast.

All the ladies look lovely in summery colors. The men and boys are all very handsome.

  6. I always liked Marie but I don't understand why she wears such a strong colour on her son's great day. Little Athena looks wonderful. She will be a beauty when grown-up.

Marie's outfit is fine for a Lutheran confirmation ceremony. The dress code is pretty informal in general and she chose a bright summery color, which is fine for a spring day./Grace

Athena's dress looks like her mother's, it is way to big and swamps her, it is dark and drab. She is such a pretty child dispite the horrid dress. Doli

    3. Yes Doli about Athena's dress, it was just shortened a bit.

Congratulations to Count Henrik. Everyone looks great, but I particularly love Marie's pink ensemble and Josephine's yellow dress.

Prince Christian is dwarfing his parents - strong lad! When he doesn’t smile in one photo here, there’s a strong resemblance to Fredrik’s father. Two gorgeous families looking great. - AnnaLise

Prince Christian is tall, yes. But the danish royal family has tall genes - Christian 10. was over 2 metres, Frederik 9. 1,98 and CP Frederik is 1,83. Her Majesty Margrethe 2. is tall for a woman 1,80. As far as I know, the swedish kings were tall too, and even they are his ancestors.

I like and admire Prince Joachim and his family. Like the wider Dutch royal family, an example of how to lead useful lives when not in the immediate line of succession. The family look great here, but Princess Marie’s outfit is a bit too pink for me. In the Crown Princely family, Prince Vincent is as cute as ever and I like the outfits worn by both girls. Lovely family occasion

Marie in a vivid colour, surprising and quite good.
With her little nephew she is the only one well- dressed. The suits of the young and older men all fit awfull, Mary and daughterers not so festive dressed.

Everyone's outfits are perfectly fine for a Lutheran confirmation ceremony, which are pretty scaled down. It's a family occasion and everyone is nicely dressed to go to church on a sunny spring day. I think Josephine is wearing Mary's yellow Prada dress./Grace

  12. Princess Marie looks very stylish this outfit looks great and fits her well. It look as though she is wearing a brooch, lovely. CP Mary looks beautiful in this dress, be it a busy dress she wears it well.

Love the the CP family they all look great and Prince Vincient looks like he might be taller than his twin, he has grown. He is definitely Nana bait, so cute. I think Princess Marie would have looked better in a less bright pink, Prince Henrik enjoyed his big day and looked happy but his suit looks too big. Jj

Love the two families, i hope that the decision of removing/changing titles didn't/doesn't affect the relationship of the brothers and respectively family.
Love the combinations on both sides.

I believe,if I am not mistaken, that the current Royal Family of Norway, began with Prince Carl of Denmark, when Norway had no heir to the throne.I think this happened early in the 20th century.

  16. That hot pink outfit looked familiar, anyone? Princess Elisabeth wore it before on her first day of Egypt trip. I found it amusing actually, since this is their second twinning moment on the same brand. The first one was Emporio Armani's gray checkered coat, worn back in 2017 and 2019 respectively. Same style but two different generations.

I love that pink pant suite. Marie looks gorgeous. However I think it may be a bit too loud for a confirmation. Her husband’s red tie next to that bright pink bothers me. Otherwise it is a picture perfect family. As for the other royal family, I was surprised to see all those different colors. I am sorry, but that green suite is just horrible, how could his mother who is so stylish let him wear that?

That olive green colour seems to be on trend for young men, and men who are a bit older. The British Fashion Council awards had a few men there wearing suits of that colour.

I am surprised there is not a single picture with thtwo families together. Very unusual.

As they are, separately photographed, they look good as families and everyone individually on his/her own. Mary is my favourite of the two ladies. Marie draws too much attention to herself because of the very bright shade of pink, at an event where her son should be the focus. She wears the pants /top combo very well thought, with her enviable figure.

Joachim and sons all look quite dapper in their classic blue suits with Count Henrik looking quite grown up--he is getting so tall. Marie is lovely in her bright pink trouser outfit--this vivid pink is very flattering on her. Athena's outfit is sort of like a link--her pink and navy dress is a sort of bridge in a sweet way. I agree her dress is a bit large on her but she still looks pretty. The CP family is looking like a spring garden--so many different colors! Mary looks beautiful in her pastel floral dress--I like her outfit choice best. Isabella and Josephine have been "shopping" in Mom's closet: Isabella's coral blazer and white trousers are Mary's (she wore the coral jacket with the matching trousers last summer) while the white trousers haven't been worn by Mary in a few years but Isabella wore them for her own confirmation; Josephine borrowed a yellow dress Mary hasn't worn in years along with the navy jacket, again an item Mary hasn't worn for years. Josephine also borrowed that jacket earlier this year. What lucky girls to have a mom with such a fabulous closet! Isabella and Josephine look very pretty. Christian is sporting a very popular color young men are wearing but all that olive in a civilian suit is an interesting look. Vincent might be showing signs of having inherited his Grandfather Henrik's sartorial flair--that light blue suit is fabulous! He is certainly the best dressed male. Meanwhile, Frederik seems to have elected to join the blue suit brigade, looking as dapper as his brother and nephews.

  23. My N°1 vote is for Princess Mary.
Colour and style, perfect for a spring/summer, family, semi formal occasion.
Dare I say “nail on the head” vote?
Princess Marie, colour just a little too bold otherwise nice.
The young princesses, not a false note anywhere with their ensembles.
Prince Christian, bravo for not being afraid to break out of the mould with his suit colour.

The men look great, so do the Ladies. Maries Pantsuit is OK, I think she could have done better? Athena's dress is a bit too dark and don't care much for the rushing in front I love Mary's dress very nice, the girls look good too. css.
