If only Victoria's suit was more fitted and tapered to her body it MIGHT have looked better than it does. Could it be that it's a size too big? It's a tough suit to wear to begin with, given the colour AND that it's plaid, without it being ill fitting as well.
Marie, on the other hand, looks chic and demure. Nicely done!

    1. I agree with everything you wrote about Victoria´s suit, however, I think that Marie didn´t get it quite right either. The colours are depressing for this season, and her trousers are on the short side.
If we could combine Victoria´s colour with Marie´s more subtle pattern (or no pattern at all), and Victoria´s trousers with Marie´s jacket, I think the outcome would be good. Also, I think some simple pumps had been better instead of either of the boots, maybe ideally in dark gray.

Perfection of the business princess look for Marie--she looks fabulous! What a lovely look she is wearing. Victoria is wearing that awful suit--I had hoped she had realized last season this is a plaid horror and destroyed it. I could handle her wearing this suit as separates (maybe) but together--it hurts my eyes. I don't even know what to say about her blouse. I think it might be time for someone to sit Victoria down and explain just because a Swedish designer makes something doesn't mean she has to 1) wear it and 2) wear it exactly as designed. I really like Victoria but lately her fashion sense has taken a vacation. I don't think she is as into fashion as Mary or Catherine or Sophie (and none of these ladies are all about fashion but they all tend to understand fashion and what they can wear) but there has to be a middle ground somewhere.

You are so right. She or her stylist seem to pick everything a Swedish designer puts out regardless of if it fits or not. Some Swedish brands don't make clothes for her body shape, most are for taller women. Even if fashion fad happens to be oversized, CP Victorias clothes should fit better. She would be a much better representative of Swedish fashion if the clothes were altered to fit her body.

    2. Dear Ellie. For Princess Victoria's pantsuit, my first reaction was the circus in Monte Carlo

Just no (CPV). PM’s suit looks quite smart, with the darker color and the plaid more subtle.

I agree that this is not Victoria's best look. But I disagree about Marie /stylist comment. I don t think that she is into fashion at all. Her choices are safe and boring every time she makes a public appearance. Marie always looks elegant but she surely is not a fashionista.

Don't like Victorias suit. The pieces could work separatly, but not together.

Love the Maje suit and affordable. A business suit "optima forma". On the contrary terrible ( sorry)colour of Victoria's suit. She in general could use a better stylist

Solid colored pants, pink, gray or black would have been better on CP Viktoria, The checkered pants are too clownish imo.

Princess Marie looks fine in a smart business suit. Crown Princess Victoria looks like she's cut up an enormous picnic blanket and made a badly fitting outfit.

Princess Marie looks well in her business outfit, quite striking. CP Victoria, I love her and her beautiful smile, but personally not a fan of the suit she wore.

I don't believe Victoria has a stylist. No one with an ounce of style in their body would recommend that pant suit, or the other awful plaid ones she has. Some of the solid ones aren't too good either. Most of her wardrobe is not flattering. The day she does a complete overhaul of her closet is the day I will believe she is finally getting some help. A stylist would tell her that wearing Swedish brands is a great thing to do, but only if they are flattering to her body. Otherwise, she is helping no one.
