  1. Would have been a nice outfit with a different jacket, fitting better and more feminine. Such a masculine style can only look good on a taller woman.

Precisely what went through my mind when I saw the photos. Why ruin a beautiful Max Mara jumpsuit with such a jacket?

What has happened to Maria Teresa??? I remember she used to have weight problems that have obviously been overcome, but she was much better dressed and her clothes were adapted to her figure. Perhaps her desire to look younger than ever has clouded her perception. She is petite and most of the clothes she wears these days are terribly boxy and simply do not suit her.

Strange jacket, pants too wide, not a good look for a short woman.

If you have a "petite" size like GD Maria Teresa, it is very difficult to find something that fits in confection clothes, even in expensive brands like Max Mara. The wide pants when one has not a long silhouette are always a risk. The trousers of this jump suit have been made shorter but they should have been made a bit smaller too. The jacket has a military style with too broad shoulders. Another simple short jacket in another fabric and with a round neckline would have been better. The big belt has to go. It cuts her body in two halves and is never a good idea for a little person like her. Love her hairstyle, makes her look younger than she is.

The red jumpsuit is better look for MT than we have been seeing her wear lately. Still, it looks like she has added a very wide belt--that is no for her as she is short-waisted. The original belt would have been a much better choice. I think the choice of jacket was a mistake--she has a number of black jackets to choose from in her closet. The shade of red of flattering to her and if the trouser legs could be tailored to be a bit more narrow this would be a lovely look for MT.

    1. Agree with Janet, the red colour is flattering to her.
Her hairstyle and grooming is always spot on.
For the jacket and the rest, well, I think I'll call it a day and move on.

What is happening in Luxembourg with etiquette? Not one of the ladies photographed with the Grand Duchess is appropriately dressed for a concert.
The lady in the beige dress to the right of Maria Teresa managed it best, but the inappropriately chosen shoes (so-called ballerinas) take away points from her.
The lady on the left hand of Mária Teresa put on something that looks like a bathrobe, plus black patterned stockings, which clearly look bizarre.
The lady in the blue dress with the big bag looks like she just jumped out of shopping at Tesco for the concert. Maybe she has sandwiches in that big bag.
The lady in the glasses looks like she just came from work.
And Maria Teresa: the funny jacket reminds me of biker fashion. An inappropriate choice - as well as a maxi belt and overalls.
    I don't see much elegance.

The lady with glasses is Yuriko Backes, the Minister of Finance of Luxembourg. I guess she was indeed coming straight from her office. She is usually one of the more stylish ladies in the VIP scene of Luxembourg. I have to applaud her for finding time for this and many other charitable events in the country despite her very busy agenda and high responsibility job!

The outfit in itself is nice, but the jacket IMO does not fit or better said do not match. css

MT is rocking this whole look! I love everything about it: the pant legs are the perfect length, just brushing the tops of her feet; the deep V-neck helps elongate her upper body; the colors are coordinating well (jumpsuit/jacket/accessories); the pointy-toed shoes add feminine chic (MT favors low heels and her shoes often look matronly); and I happen to love the asymmetrical, cropped jacket, I think it is perfect for her short frame; the branch-like earrings add interest and also help elongate her neck. Only thing I would change is the wide belt, but since it is mostly hidden by the jacket - no harm done. A+ from me. S.M.

  10. I'm not so sure about this outfit. The pants are adding bulk, too wide. The cropped jacket is too short and cuts off at the waist, a longer jacket imp would have been more enchasing to her. MT hair looks fabulous. The lady in the beige dress and jacket looks fabulous, very elegant and stylish.

Definitely not a good look for a short woman. The hair is nice, the rest of the outfit, pants too wide, jacket too odd, makes her look boxy/thick in the middle with one side jutting out. Enough said. Edwina

  12. I like the jumpsuit as the general idea. The colour also is good. But from there on everything else had gone awry. That belt puts the emphasis on all the wrong places. The biker-style jacket is horrendous. The shoulders of it are much too wide, they make her look boxy yet again. Plus, I don't think the jacket is a good pick for this kind of concert and does not go along well with the jumpsuit. Together with a nice pair of jeans, and a high quality but simple jumper/t-shirt, the jacket might get a pass from me for a rock concert event or something along that line. Her whole look is quite a jumble yet again.
