Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the 2023 Young Critics' Award ceremony at Sentralen Culture Center in Oslo. Young readers from upper secondary schools had chosen "White, Norwegian Man" (original title: Kvit, norsk mann) written by Brynjulf Jung Tjønn as the winner of the Young Critics' Award 2023.
Before the jury revealed the winner of this year's award, Crown Princess Mette-Marit gave a speech in which she thanked the jury for the thorough work they have done in assessing this year's books. The Young Critics’ Award (“Ungdommens kritikerpris”) is a high school literary award that was created in 2005.
I think that Crown Princess Mette-Marit needs a more fashionable hair style. She looks good in this red suit but the cut does nothing for her it is too boxy.

Well “fashionable” is contextual, and I think her hair fits in super well in Norway. Norway is pretty relaxed in terms of dress and no doubt the crowd she’s dressed for will appreciate she’s dressed in national colours.

La couleur rouge va superbement bien à Mette-Marit même si le blanc-cassé de son haut apporte un beau contraste !

I think the cuffs on the jacket are built-in, and I think they look fine. MM looks lovely in this vibrant red, an unusual color for her.
DeleteNot sure I am in favor of smooth t-shirts or sweaters worn with a suit, I think I'd prefer a blouse. A turtleneck is okay when the weather is cold, but this crew-neck brings the put-together look of a suit down to a casual "week-end" look. Queen Letizia is fond of wearing smooth tops with skirts and suits, it always seems a bit out-of-tune to me. Maybe I am too old-fashioned in my tastes. S.M.

Well S.M. I'm not gonna say you are old fashioned, but I'm 56 and I prefer a simple top or a t shirt under a suit. So Letizia and MM are right up my alley. Less is more. PS red is not a unusual color for her. Try Google.
