Mother’s Day in most countries in the Arab world is celebrated on March 21, the first day of spring. Queen Rania of Jordan shared a new family photo on the occasion of Mother's Day. The photo was taken shortly before the wedding, at Princess Iman's Henna Party. It shows Queen Rania of Jordan stood next to her daughter as well as her own mother, Ilham Yassin. The Queen wrote in the caption: "Thank you for always reminding us of what is important in life… and today that is you!"

Most of Queen Rania's clothes have a similar look although the dress is very pretty!

I'm guessing that the style of those dresses is of Jordanian/Palestinian tradition. If you look at videos (on YT) of the actual wedding ceremony of Princess Iman, where the King and Queen are greeting all the guests outside as they arrive at the ceremony, a lot of the women guests are wearing variations of this very same style. The grooms family members are dressed in a more western style, but still very beautiful gowns.

  7. Je ne peux qu'admirer de bellles robes traditionnelles mais j'aime beaucoup les couleurs tricolores de la dame à droite de la photo dont le vert domine ; serait-elle une tante à Rania ?!

  8. Beautiful gowns, beautiful ladies. I have never seen Rania´s father, but I assume she looks like him, because she doesn´t ressemble her mother at all.
