Charlene usually wears a dress on these sad moments. Caroline looks much older, she always knows the right outfit to wear. Archbishop Barsi also presided over their father Rainer's funeral.

    1. There are no longer any reservations about women wearing trousers at a funeral. We are in the 21st century.

  2. Correctly dressed IMO for the ceremony.
Achbishop Barsi will be missed by many people including the Royal family in Monaco. A sad day for the family.

I think, Charlène looks good and elegant. Caroline, however, looks terribly old - grey hair and wrinkled face - I think, one can easily see the 20 years or more to her sister-in-law Charlène.

I think both ladies look elegant and appropriately dressed.
Caroline has been a lifelong smoker which, unfortunately, has aged her skin.

Naturally, Caroline is 65 years old whereas charlene is only 44. But I don't think Caroline looks terribly old - it is good to see a woman age gracefully and proudly wear her experience on her through her natural face and natural hair. That is the natural progression of life - to grow old.

Caroline, yes she looks much much older than 65 but wearing black color made her look even older. Besides that her hair color is wrong .

What's wrong with your natural hair colour? RH

Wrinkle comparisons are difficult to make fairly, as genetics have the biggest influence, with lifestyle choices being secondary. This can be masked with surgical interventions, as Charlene has done so extensively that she is hardly recognisable in her pre-Monaco photos which show a natural deeply-lined perfectly imperfect face. I feel sad that she has so substantially changed, and commend Caroline for daring in that society to show her natural ageing.

Not sure I would call it "natural aging". More like expedited aging due to lifestyle choices. There are women who are the Princess's age who took much better care of their complexions and look younger than mid 60's. For a woman who was one of the great beauties of her generation, Caroline seems remarkably down to earth about growing older. Which is a lot more than one could say about certain other beautiful women in the public eye.

Caroline could have had an eyelift, a facelift, fillers, botox and surely then she would have looked younger and better. All the younger queens and crown princesses have gone that route already. But Caroline choose to let it go…. I do think that she has immense confidence, contrary to ‘the great beauty’ Charlene who has been rebuilt from head to toe.

What proof do you have Vanessa that Caroline has abused alcohol? That she is a heavy smoker and likes the sun is no secret but alcohol abuse? Also smoking and enjoying the sun isn't abuse - she made choices - and has now chosen to live with the results of those choices.

Also, most dermatologists would tell you that the biggest factor in how you age is genetics. She takes after Prince Rainier's family - he, his sister and their mother also aged similarly.

Completely agree. Caroline is ageing gracefully. To me she looks beautiful.

  8. Generally, I'd prefer wearing the black lace veil together with a skirt or dress, not trousers. But I might be overly discerning on that matter.

  13. I think Princess Caroline has other interesting priorities in her life and is not too worried about being THE eternal beauty of Monaco. If this is the case ……… bravo madam.

Agree. It is sad that people don't see beauty once wrinkles and gray hair appears. She is still a beautiful woman. And is aging gracefully, we are all meant to age.
