  1. Fashion wise all ladies have worn better dresses in my opinion. Jewelry wise they all look splendid, they all chose fantastic jewelry for this occasion.

  5. These photos are wonderful, great views of what the Royal ladies are wearing. Pss Sofia's dress is an acquired taste, but IMO it suits her. I dont mind it though it is fussy, she carries this off well. I love the color. In motion coming down the stairs, I see the train also has some additions around the hem. Her sleeves, waistline and neckline obviously as seen before. Queen Silivia's gown and train look lovely, I love the matching shoes and contrasting evening clutch, every effective. CP Victoria looks fabulous in this gown, it suits her perfectly, excellent design for her, the draping and ruching of fabric is very effective, adding interest. Love the contrasting evening clutch. Her jewels close up are so impressive. The extra row of diamonds at the base of the tiara are glorious, no band is seen at all.

  6. To me Queen Silvia is fantastic, the gown is gorgeous and with the matching jewelry it’s the winner today.
I’m not so sure about Victoria, the dress is somewhat a girlish princessdream and not my favorite. Sofia’s dress could have been great if the top was different. I am not a fan of the high collar and the flowers attached up high. Love the color though.

  7. Beautiful Sofia. Shining as always. Maybe their family are growin.

  8. Victoria’s dress reminds of the Phillipa Lepley gown by Catherine.
Sofia has worn better choices. This looks bland and dowdy. But I love how she alternates the stones on her tiara, to match her gowns. It’s certainly a versatile tiara.
HMQ looks polished, as always ! Lovely color of dress and matching tiara.

  9. Finally after 3 years we get some serious sparkle at the Nobel festivities. I look forward to this event every year and the Swedish royal ladies did not disappoint.

Queen Silvia: I am happy to see that Queen Silvia switched things up this year and decided to go with the amethyst parure. The color of her gown is beautiful but the design is a little odd. Overall she looks fine, but I do wish she had a different hairstyle.

CP Victoria: To me Princess Victoria gets best dressed of the night, her whole look screams regal. I am not a big fan of ballgowns but this dress is stunning and I love the pale pink color. In terms of her jewelry I will say that less is better. All pieces here are beautiful separate, but together it is a bit much in my opinion. The Six-button tiara is already a stunning piece there was no need to add the extra row of diamonds as it makes it look bulky. Her earnings are gorgeous but I would have gone with a smaller pair.

Princess Sofia: I have mixed feelings with Sofia's look for tonight. I am not a big fan of the gown, the silhouette and the color are pretty, but I do not like the flowers details at all. While I do love her palmette tiara (especially since it is so versatile), I was really hoping she would choose something else. There are some many beautiful tiaras in the Swedish Royal family it be nice if she wore some different every once in a while. I will give her points as I really love the new aqua stone setting she sported tonight. Her earnings are lovely as well.

Princess Madeleine was missed, but overall everyone looked stunning. Nice to see Princess Christina, I hope we get more pictures of her jewels.

  11. Its wonderful to see the big sparkle of the Nobel prizes back again! I do like Silvia's gown and the amethysts are gorgeous but I am not a fan of her hair for some reason. I am a bit on the fence with Victoria's choice--bubblegum pink is not exactly a color I would selected for her. This gown is not going to be a Noble favorite of mine because its just a bit to Disney princessy for me. I do like her choice of tiara though--she wears the tiara well. Sofia--nice new toppers for her tiara. They seem to match her earrings so I am thinking they are indeed aquamarines. As for her gown--it is a no for me. Not fan of the color, the design, or those appliques. Sofia is so lovely, she can wear so many things--this color is washing her out and I do not like all the fussiness of this style for her. I am hoping I will other photos that will change my mind because the Swedish ladies rarely have Noble misses.

  12. Sofia's colour is impossible, to close to her face. HMQ, CP and PChristina are stunning.

  14. Sofia spoiled her beautiful dress with her wrong coiffure: her hair over her ears is never nice.
Victoria reminds me of SiSi, who I loved when I was 14 years old, but not now anymore.
The Queen: always good, this time a bit less.

    1. Disagree. People fuss when she wears it up and fuss when she wears it down. I loved her hair both nights. At least she wears it different ways. It all comes down to personal taste and comfort. Mika

  15. I quite like all of it, but most outstanding to me was someone else. No one royal, but a Nobel Prize Laureate: Mrs. Carolyn Bertozzi. As for Princess Sofia: I like the colour of the gown and how she managed to match her tiara to it with new Aquamarine toppers. However, her dangling (beautiful and colour-scheme matching) earrings totally clashed with the high collar and the flower appliqués on it.

  16. Not a fan of either of these dresses.

  17. Like many who commented, I am not particularly fond of the overskirt of Queen Silvia's gown, but it adds drama. The color is very regal, and the beautiful colors of her jewels add to that.

Princess Victoria's dress is also dramatic with the sheer volume of fabric. The draping across the bosom and around the waist is overdone, in my opinion. A sleeker version, with less volume in the skirt, would be an improvement. The color is glorious. The six-button tiara is very pretty but not my favorite. I was hoping she would wear the cameo tiara or the cut steel tiara.

If the floral appliques were removed from Princess Sofia's gown, it would be smashing. The color and overall style of the gown is beautiful but somewhat demure. Her tiara with the blue stones is pretty, but, I wish she would give her wedding tiara a rest and choose something else.

    1. I agree about the flowers for Sofia's gown. BUT, I bet they might be removable. So that is a possibility. Or she can have it altered. Loved the look overall. While I love her tiara and its ability to change with almost every color she wears, I too, loved her in some of the royal collection and would love to see it again. I am thinking she either is more comfortable with the weight of her own or is wearing it because she feels like she should with new the new toppers she keeps getting. I would think she would have access to the collection. She has worn the amethyst, the four- and six-button tiaras, and the small steel cut. But mostly it has been her wedding tiara that wins. Who knows. Tina

Looking at pics in the latest threads about Swedish royals, I think that Q.Silvia and P. Victoria look splendid in every respect.
Victiria's rosebud pink satin ball gown is a masterpiece .
I especially like the splendid bodice draping on the front.
She looks so beatifully and appropriately attired, her tiara and jewels are stunning and her updo is perflectly executed.
Same for her sequined green gown and amazing emeralds.
I am on the fence about Sofia.
While I really like her pearl grey rich and majestic gown, I won't give top marks to her long dress with the degrading colour feature on the lower part.
All in all, they look great and men are dapper too.

  24. Love Princess Sofia's look for these Nobels. I think she looks beautiful. Hair looks wonderful with the tiara. And that tiara is just becoming one of my favs right now. Very smart lady for making it so useful. And a very smart mother-in-law for gifting it to her. While a different tiara would spice things up for her a bit, I am really liking the changes and versatility of her own. Dana
