  2. Very Jackie O hat. I like that she removes her hat indoors

    1. That would be Jackie Kennedy. Jackie O was another era, without the pillbox hat.

  3. What a lovely ensemble Queen Silvia is wearing, love the color and pattern and how the inner fabric is picking up from the rest. She looks fantastic all around!

    1. Yes she looks very nice and she is nearly 79 years now. The King looks good, too, very relaxed and friendly couple.

  4. Un unexpected colour combination of pink and yellow but it works well. Lovely dress and coat combination and even the hat shows a tiny bit of yellow silk . Ladyofthemanor

  5. Königin Silvia ist vom ersten Tag an so sympathisch, souverän, stilsicher und professionell . Ich bin Deutsche und sehr stolz auf unserer einzige "Deutsche" Königin". 🤗

  6. Queen Silvia looks outstanding, these 2 colors work in beautifully together. The dress and coat are stunning. Some very interesting features, that look wonderful. Her hat is perfect really elevates this overall look. The necklace is a lovely choice. Her shoe and bag accessories are lovely. Queen Rania looks nice but I don't like the coat shorter than her skirt, minor quibble.

    1. Agree on all points though i would rate strange short coat as stronger than a minor quibble. It seems totally pointless.

  7. At first glance I wasn't keen on the colors of Queen Silvia's dress and coat. The "yellow" seemed to clash with the rose color. But in a different light the yellow turned golden and was much more appealing. Her necklace and earrings are very nice. King Carl Gustaf is very handsome. He and Queen Silvia were quite amused about something. A very lovely couple.

  8. Q Silvias outfit is IMO a mis pick, somehow the colors look a little too loud together. She is always very nice dressed and looks great. Well, she is entitled to a mistake. css

    1. Maybe she doesn't think it's a mistake.

    2. Agree, these 2 colors in the small print are garish, and as far as I am aware have no relation to the weather/season or national significance. A rare miss from ever elegant QS.

I’m wanting to like QR’s ensemble, but the too-short coat, and the mere peek of light blue at the top and burgundy at the bottom are dissatisfying. I would need to see what is being worn under the coat for the colors to be in harmony. Like the shoes, but not with this outfit.

Hair and make-up are beautiful on both ladies. S.M.

  9. Although Queen Rania’s girly-girl hair irritates me, I think her slightly sombre look is probably intentional and she is giving prominence to her guest, Queen Sylvia.
I presume that the colours were communicated beforehand. Sylvia’s look is interesting but I think the cuffs are too much. I find the black accessories somewhat harsh and would have preferred dark blue ones.
