On October 4, 2022, Queen Margrethe and Princess Benedikte attended the launch of the Danish Handcraft Guild's Cross-stitch of the Year 2023 (Årets Korssting 2023) held in Amalienborg Museum at Christian VIII's Palace. Queen Margrethe designed the Cross Stitch of the Year 2023, which is a calendar with 12 embroideries for each of the 12 months of the year. The Queen had also designed the Cross Stitch of the Years 1978, 1984 and 2004.
The Danish Handcraft Guild (Haandarbejdets Fremme) was established in 1928 to promote Danish textile art and provide support to all those working with embroidery.
I love her shoes. I think they are old, but the classics keep their style forever and in all situations.

ReplyDeleteI love this turquoise blue suit, the Queen looks delightful, very becoming outfit. Pss Bene looks fabulous, very smart skirt, jacket and silk blouse, she looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteHer shoes (check out the heels) are very old, the least they could have done was polish them. The outfit is a lovely spring color, not for fall, and the front view and cut of the top makes her look as is she quite lopsided.
