On October 19, 2022, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the province of Walloon Brabant. The visit started at the pharmaceutical company GSK in Rixensart. The King and Queen met employees there and also visited the malaria vaccine production facility. The King and Queen then visited the Fedasil Reception Centre in Rixensart. The centre mainly hosts families waiting for a regularisation of their staying. The centre hosts 20 unaccompanied minors as well, among which some pregnant girls or young single mums.

  1. Why not put your arms into the coat sleeves, Queen Mathilde?

    1. Why this obsession about a coat on the shoulders if temperature is still rather mild ? I am not fan of the dress however

  3. I am glad she is wearing the pink coat even if it just hangs on her shoulders. It covers a lot of the dress that I don't like. I find the green colour very ugly, like overcooked pea soup.

  4. Sweet Mathilde in a real sweet dress!,
The coat and shoes in soft rose, lovely!
I hope the encounter with the warm-hearted Queen did warm the people who met her this day,

  5. Like the dress but the coat over the shoulders ruins it. The dress is a great colour for Queen Mathilde, good length, nice neckline and style for her AnnieM

  6. I love this dress, very pretty and feminine. It fits the Queen well. The color of her coat and her accessories work in well together. Earrings are lovely

  7. I don‘t really know why, but I find the overall look very touching, somehow Queen Mathilde‘s inner self seems to be shining through.

  9. Don't care for the cooked spinach green of the dress. Pink coat is lovely, would be even better if she wore a matching dress and put her arms in the sleeves. There is something about QM that is matronly, but she doesn't need to dress in a matronly style, or like an overgrown schoolgirl either. She has assets that can be made to look so much more attractive, wish she would hire a younger stylist to refresh her wardrobe and overall look. S.M.

    1. I agree with everything you say. Couldn’t have said it better.

    2. It looks like you are always there when Queen Mathilde wears clothes you don't like. When everybody says she is dressed elegant and lovely one doesn't hear from you. For example : on October 17 when Queen Mathilde wore a blue coat dress and everyone liked her in that outfit we didn't hear from you. When Queen Mathilde goes biking with disabled and handicapped people she is wearing jeans and a windbreaker and trainers like everybody else. She looks very young then. I suggest you look also at the website "Garderobe royale" which is showing Queen Mathilde during ALL her activities and not only those you find on this blog.

    3. My oh my. We are getting into vegetable language with our fashion comments today. For example 'overcooked pea soup' and now 'cooked spinach green'. I think the colour of the dress is 'under cooked green cabbage'.
      Could I be right?

  11. I think she looks lovely. The pink and green dress is quite pretty and really suits her complexion. The coat could work well over many colours. (V.M.)

  12. The green dress looks like the other one by Natan (which I prefer) she wore at the start of Prince Gabriel's academic year at the Royal Military School. The coat is a repeat and although it is by Armani I don't like it. The color is beautiful but the shape is not very good for Q. Mathilde. By wearing it over the shoulders one cannot see it very well. I love her handbag.

  13. La couleur rose pâle du manteau convient très bien avec l'imprimé de son élégante robe et son sac à mains ; est-ce que ses boucles d'oreilles sont en quartz rose ?

  14. I commenti negativi sono ingiusti, a volte Mathilde è riuscita a vestirsi peggio.
Stavolta è abbastanza carina, mi piace.

  15. So wish she could change the old lady hair style. Not flattering. This Queen often give me old lady vibe. You are to young for this M.
