  1. The second photo is a beautiful portrait photo. I don´t like the other two at all. They look like snapped from behind the curtain or something, with that white thing partly in front of Elisabeth´s head, and the black bit from the wall showing rather prominently; the lighting is bad and makes her eyes look weird, and the overall scheme of grays and neutrals look are rather dull. These photo don´t do this young, vibrant princess any justice.

    1. Maybe the pictures are not very professional but that makes her not less beautiful. Her eyes are not weird, they are of a transparent blue color. I think someone of the family has made these pictures. In any case I wish CP Elisabeth a very happy 21st birthday.

  2. Beautiful PE. I like her earrings, but is in doubt about the top - the fabric looks very cheap and casual.

  3. Elle est vraiment magnifique avec une ressemblance entre sa grand-mère Paola et Mathilde, sa maman. Bon anniversaire à elle en lui souhaitant beaucoup de réussite dans ses études à Oxford !

    1. When I look at Princess Elisabeth, she always reminds me of another striking resemblance which is her great-grandmother Queen Astrid of the Belgians, nee Princess of Sweden. I wish her everlasting beauty and long health be bestowed upon her.

  6. The second photo is awful, so close that her nose looks enormous.

  8. In her public appearances including her first solo ones, Elisabeth has already demonstrated the grace and manner of a future Queen. Beyond that, she's also smart, well educated and, as I have watched, an excellent public speaker.

  9. Lovely princess and very natural photos (if imperfect) on this momentous occasion in her life. The Belgian royals seem all very down to earth and genuine. Nothing pretentious, nothing “look at me and my body” type attitude. They are also highly popular and (especially since the King’s father’s legal drama ended) particularly well liked - both internally and externally.

The way the princess behaves, dresses etc.. makes me feel this will control for at least another generation.

    1. King Phillipe and Queen Mathilde were already loved by the people of Belgium when they were still princes. When CP Elisabeth's parents became king and queen, Phillipe proofed he was capable to coop with the difficulties of Belgian politics. The older Belgian people remembered the difficult youth the king and his brother and sister had been through, so automatically they loved the children of king Albert and queen Paola, especially when they became parents themselves.

  10. Elisabeth is beautiful and stylish but there are other more beautiful, stylish princesses in her age group. What sets her apart from her peers is her elegance and poise added to a slight sense of mystery. I love watching her blossom.

And I hope she will follow the example of her noble mother and not mess with her face. Her nose is large, but she is still a beauty.

  14. The last photo is my favourite, this is a lovely side profile photo of her, and being able to see what she is wearing. The top is really pretty, I love this, slightly off the shoulder, very feminine. I love her earrings. Her barely their makeup looks wonderful, her natural beauty shines through. Happy 21st Birthday CP Elizabeth.
