Queen Silvia did not attend tonight's traditional dinner because of the effects of a lingering cold. King Carl Gustaf, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden received the guests in the Vita Havet Assembly Rooms. The Representatives dinner took place in Karl XI's Gallery.

Crown Princess Victoria looks good but I wish the dress was in a brighter colour. I love Princess Sofia’s dress—so elegant— but is not too short? Both ladies look lovely. AnnieM

  2. This colour does nothing for Princess Victoria, even though it is a beautiful dress. She does not look well of late.

  3. Not impressed with either of the princesses.
Victoria´s dress is sleek and fits her well, however i find the colour totally wrong for her. It looks lifeless and drab. Also, not a fan of those sagging sleeves.
Sofia´s look isn´t any better in terms of colour - wrong for her, wrong probably for anyone. The two pieces also don´t seem to go together at all. Colours don´t match, the textures are so different it looks bad, and I find the skirt´s length odd as it is too short for floor length and too long for midi length.
Both dresses maybe could work for an occasion with a different sash, one in a strong colour like the Belgian for instance which is hard to pair successfully with many colours. The Swedish sash however, being pale blue, is lost on both of these dresses.

I see you know "better" than the royal stylists. In my opinion, you are exaggerating. The are both looks good.

Sophia is the absolute winner for me! Between her beautiful hair and more modest dress I love it. Victorias dress seems very tacky tome

Thank goodness for Swedish Royals and their willingness to wear tiaras so often!

CP Victoria’s gown is gorgeous, classic, and very flattering. Gown and tiara combo is one of her best looks.

P Sophia’s tiara and hair is so pretty. This tiara is one of my faves and I like all the variants (diamond, pearl, emerald, turquoise). I wish she’d consider adding even more options such as sapphires, rubies, citrines, and black pearls.

CP Victoria looks beautiful. The fabric and the fit is perfect for her. Very flattering. Sophia s hair is too much ….. too much curls, like a doll. Her evening gowns seem to follow a pattern - long tight sleeves… some of you may think it’s modern and original, but I rarely like her gala dresses.

Completely agree that CP Victoria looks fantastic, as does her husband. I also think that Sophia’s hair is a bit ‘70s and wish she would try a side part. The middle part is not the best look for her long flowy, hippie style.

Wow !. CP Victoria looks very beautiful in this Jenny Packham dress. Every royal lady who is wearing this brand is looking good. They make the most beautiful evening gowns.

I like gowns with more color, especially in auturm when everything is more colorful, neverless, Victoria and Sofia look very beautiful in their evening gowns (Sofia's seem to be blouse and skirt?). Lovely hair and makeup.
Carl Philip is very handsome but would love to see him with shaved face for a change.

Victoria sorprendente e in splendida forma.

Both the ladies look quite pretty in their repeats, but the oomph is missing. I am gonna conclude that is because Silvia wasn't there. I hope she gets well soon!

  15. Princess Victoria looks very regal in her gown. She wears it well. To me, it fits the occasion. Elegant but not over the top. In some of the photos, the colour of her gown complements the decor in the rooms.
Princess Sofia’s skirt and top leaves something to be desired. Can’t quite pinpoint it. I think it’s the marriage of the lace with the silk fabric. Maybe either one or the other would do the trick.
Lots of smiles and it is nice to see Prince Daniel giving his ‘on-duty-double-breasted-dark-coloured-suit’ a break.
He looks super yummy in his tuxedo and white tie.
King Carl Gustaf is always perfectly dressed and lives up to his reputation on this occasion.
Best wishes to Queen Silvia for a speedy recovery.

  16. I just wish the Swedish royal ladies would share their tiaras more often again. They used to do it in the past. I also think that CP Victoria's dress might be a tad too long just as Pss Sofia's dress is either a tad too short (for floor-length), or too long as well, when considering a mid-calf length. It seems something in between and that doesn't really make sense to me.

Princess Sofia for the win. Love the look and her hair looks really good with the highlights in it. Missing the Queen who usually is a burst of color.

Don't like the hankerchief-look and don't like the discoball-look either.

This one of the best gowns I have seen on Victoria. The color is elegant and the design shows off her fabulous figure. The fabric is luxurious and would have looked beautiful and caught the evening lights. It seems to evoke the 1920s

These outfits confirm for me that neither of the princesses have any type of advisor / stylist. Both poor quality material (especially Sophia’s) and in colours and cuts that do them no favours. Sophia’s is also I’ll-fitting. Too bad, what a miss of an opportunity to have a royal level showing of outfits with those tiaras. Missing Silvia and Madeleine, my guess is the two of them would have displayed some beautiful fit-for-a-queen/princess outfits

Princess Victoria looks smashing. Very elegant. Princess Sophia has lovely hair but should have worn it up with that dress. The photo where her hair is at the back, shows off a lovely neckline.

Sophia with loose hair under a tiara looks tacky in my opinion

Not much color this time. Gray and tan? But both RL look good. css

  25. The cut and color of CP. Victoria's dress is beautiful. I love that beautiful gray dress with the sparkly trim and appliques. The jewel piece at the waist is just so pretty!! Gorgeous!! It fits her beautifully and is very graceful looking. I love P. Sophia's hair, the color and the style is very pretty. I don't think the top of her ensemble matches her skirt. The skirt is lacy and the top has a more casual look and the colors don't match. I love separates and if you can use them for a more formal outfit all the better, but hey who am I to say, maybe that's the look she and her stylist were going for.

While the dress looks stylish, the gray color does not suit Victoria well. Anne
