  4. Good to see her, everyone is smiling; her dress is quite nice, isn't she a bit overdressed for the occasion ?

I am sure she is perfectly attired for this occasion - she is after all Princess Charlene of Monaco!

  6. Princess Charlene has kept the Italian theme for the occasion by wearing a blouse and skirt trousers from the Italian designer Brunello Cucinelli.
Cucinelli has become famous for his tops and fashion accessories.
I’ve read that “Cucinelli’s designs tend to feature a blend of high-end luxury and casual aesthetics”.
His fashion mark and products are popular in America as a “must have”.
Nice to see Princess Charlene getting back into the swing of things.
I hope that this is a positive sign that her health has much improved.
Would love to see a close up of her earrings.
NOTE: Cucinelli has had a rags to riches life.
His childhood home had no electricity or running water.
If you are interested and have the time, take a look at his biography via ……. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brunello_Cucinelli

    1. Thank you for the link Deadeggs, and for the interesting information about Cucinelli :-) Really many designers have had a poor childhood.
That dark blue suits Charlene well and she looks beautiful and stylish. Not at all over dressed imo.

why does the princess wear clothes worn by people over 70 years old? She really needs a new stylist.

    1. Well, I've hardly never seen an over 70 years old having a semi sheer shirt like that. And if so I would rather politly ask her/him to take a cardigan over it, hahahah :-)))

I think you may need a new keyboard. The one you have seems to be unkind and out of touch with fashion. Maybe a new one would help?

70ans: Je vous trouve une circonstance attenuante:Vous ne connaissez rien en matière de mode.
Cette princesse n'a nullement besoin d'un nouveau styliste .
Avec Rania de Jordanie, elle porte des tenues élégantes et originales.

Imagine Kate or Mary wearing this outfit… or maybe don’t. They never would. And it’s not even worn at a fashion show. Though maybe she wasn’t aware of the dress code :)

Dress code? For state or religious events it is defined by tradition in European monarchies (and even in many republics). For social gatherings it's defined by the person or the institution who invites, but...
it is the wife of the reigning monarch (if she attends) who decides what eg."smart casual" means to her, nobody else. In Monaco it's Charlene. (In UK it was QEII, now it is Camilla, in Denmark QMII)
I chose "smart casual" as an exemple as it is often used in this type of events. Here a long skirt might be slightly overdressed, but as she is wearing long trousers, it's ok. Often everything depends on details.

@Just me…. Ageist comment, and unkind to womankind. My mother who is past 70 would look fabulous in this blouse, she is mature not a mummy!! Laughing at your own comments is a tad tacky as well.

    1. Good for her, CB. Good laugh never harms. I am over 70 and could also easely have that shirt. But, I can also laugh to myself. Have a nice day 😉.
