On September 17, 2022, King Charles III hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace for governors-general of the Commonwealth nations. Queen Consort, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence attended the Buckingham Palace reception. In addition to the UK, the King is head of state for 14 Commonwealth realms.

ردحذفI totally agree. Even in a simple black dress she manages to look outstanding. The beautiful pearls make all the difference here. What a perfect choice of jewelry
حذفAbsolutely agree. I didn't like the coat she wore to the military event, it looked a bit too strict and "gouverness-y" for a woman her age and in her role. But apart from that she is and has handled the last week impressively.

Wow this is such a stressful time for them with all the ceremonial obligations associated with the Queens death and on top of all that they hosting all these receptions to acknowledge and thank the presence of those from the realms and dominions who have flown from far distances to pay their respects. I lift my hat to them.
ردحذفSaturday evening it was a reception for the Commonwealth Governers General and on Sunday it will be a reception for the Heads of State and Royalty from around the world who are attending. When do they get any rest? Monday is going to be a huge day for them too, physically and emotionally. I feel for them.

Catherine looks lovely in her simple black dress, also like her jewellery. Photo of Camilla and Catherine talking to each other was sweet to see, they seem to have good relationship.

ردحذفIt seems to me that Queen Camilla is the the rock that will support King Charles. I’m glad he has her.
The final picture of the Princess is glorious. She looks more rested than in the day before. Her hair is perfectly done . The 3-stranded pearl necklace against the black dress is the perfect accessory, paired with the pearl earrings. I don't recall her making any missteps during this mournful period. I also like the Queen Consort's shorter hairstyle.

حذفAgree with you both. The Princess of Wales is a real trouper (still have her in my mind as Duchess!) Camilla, Catherine and William, Sophie and Edward plus the Princess Royal and Tim Lawrence. The King has a tough job to do but what a terrific back up team.
