Queen Margrethe attended the opening of the exhibition "Margrethe II of Denmark, Artiste-Reine" at the Henri-Martin Museum in Cahors, France. The exhibition is about Queen Margrethe's artistic work, and marks both the Queen's 50-year reign and the close ties that have existed for generations between the royal family and the area around Cahors.
The exhibition's representative selection, consisting of more than 60 works, has been selected together with the Queen. The exhibition will be open to the public until March 5, 2023. The city of Cahors decided to make 2022 a year dedicated to Denmark with a number of exhibitions and events about Danish history, gastronomy, design and architecture.
Once again the Queen looks great in bright colours. This pink dress is lovely on her.

She looks a bit overcome in the 5th photo--so wish she had had family with her, helping her celebrate the opening celebrations of her artistic achievements.
