  1. Lovely elegant summer dress Crown Princess Mary at her best. Isn't the little ballerina cute?

The dress is okay and appropriate for the occasion but, I feel it's missing something - something to break-up the pattern a little. Usually I'm a little critical of her putting a belt with everything but this time I think maybe she should have. A solid colored belt of the same color as the pattern to create some interest. And, I really don't like the shoes. They look more comfortable than her usual high heel stilettos but they're just not attractive imo.

  3. This is a lovely summer dress, very pretty and feminine, a belt may go well with this dress, not sure.. I do like her strappy shoes.

Although the dress is a bit too long I like it on Mary. The model is showing the good length. I like the color too. Usually I don't like the dresses by Erdem very much but this one has a good shape. Nice boat neck in the front and a V-neck in the back. Lovely. It looks like the weather is warmer again in Denmark.

The neckline . It’s the neckline …… more of a scoop or a sweetheart for this lovely toile classic dress.

I like the style of the dress; but it needed to be bright floral, more cheery. Actually the little ballerina is on point. I love all of the roses; and like Princess Mary, you have to check the perfume of the rose.(Tara)

This is a pretty elegant & feminine dress. I like it. Great to see Mary again assuming the family have finished their summer holiday. Mary

Lovely dress and appropriate for the occasion but the colour does nothing for her. Her shoes are OK, not keen on strappy shoes personally but they suit her. Overall she looks lovely, very stylish. She looks happy and relaxed.

This dress looks awfully old-fashioned in model and colour. This is not her wonderful usual style at all

This dress would suit Queen Margrethe better.

  12. Jolies lignes de cette robe qui va à merveille à sa silhouette mais je trouve que ses motifs ne sont pas vraiment tendance surtout au niveau de la couleur !

  13. My first reaction was to note how well she is looking. The summer holiday with her Danish family and her Australian family seem to have agreed well with her.
Still wearing a summer dress in Denmark? They must be having an Indian Summer.
I agree with the belt comment/s by other bloggers.
One of Queen Maxima's solid colour belts would break up the overall flower print.
AND whilst speaking of Queen Maxima - where is she?
I check my letter box each day and no - no postcard.
Can't wait to see what she is going to bring back from her holiday in Greece.
Greek designs and creations seem to go down well with her.
    Bright, bold and very Maxima.

An Indian summer in August ? I always heard that the Fall starts on 21 September. I learned also that an Indian summer is always in the beginning of the Fall.

Yes, autumn, according to the calendar and in the northern hemisphere, starts on 21 September. It’s not the same for the southern hemisphere (March 21 for autumn).
But in reality, the Nordic countries have weather conditions representing autumn, much earlier. For them, towards the end of August, darkness starts setting in and an atmosphere of autumn/winter begins to arrive. Some nice days of sunshine and agreeable temperatures during that period can be considered as an Indian summer.
But with weather conditions in the world at the moment, nothing can be considered as “normal”.

The dress is not fitting well. The waistline is too high and too tight. The straight neckline not flattering for a summery dress. Also, the pale purple pattern doesn't work for Mary, it makes her complexion look washed out. She looks much better with brighter, darker colors. Even the accessories are not well chosen, they ad absolutely nothing.
The shoes itself are quite nice, but the dress is too long.
    A total miss.

Probably an ok pretty dress but it does not suit Mary. Looks bulky on the torso. The woman in the lovely red dress is a beauty.
