I imagine that there will be people criticizing Queen Letizia’s sculptured arms but she looks great in her LBD and sandals . Very toned and tan , she looks like summer !

I agree, sexy summer look! She looks fantastic! Between the classic slip dress and the jeweled sandals, it's just perfect!

A lovely simple black dress, the preferred fashion style of QL. She is doing apparently a lot in the gym to give more volume to her thin arms and there's nothing wrong with that. However would have loved a 3/4 sleeve.

  6. A perfect summer look ! Surely quite some women would dream to have her arms .... impossible to please the whole world.

Isabelle Huppert looks simply wonderful and so elegant in her white blouse and white trousers. Hard to believe that she will be 70 next year.

  8. Although I love the general idea and style of this dress, unusually for her, I do not think it fits her that well. I think it could also have been a bit longer if worn as a full length dress or quite a bit shorter if worn as a calf length dress. Jealous I am of the toned ams and tan.

  9. Queen Letizia's robe ...... simple but stunning.
In photo N° 6, a Queen sitting with crossed legs ??
The length of the robe makes it etiquettely acceptable.

Que guapa, morena, supongo que sea de crema . Vestido minimalista para el verano pero elegante para el evento. La chica de blanco trae unos pantalones demasiado largos. ¿Por qué hay que ir arrastrandolos?

    2. Next time you're in a newsagents, take a look at a magazine for lady bodybuilders. You'll see that they have bodies nothing like Queen Letizia's. If lady bodybuilders had arms like Queen Letizia's, they'd never win a prize.

Isabelle Hupert certainly knows how to position herself for a picture, but hands in pockets is really not-done ,

    1. I don't think one should be so strict about hands in pockets... Not at a representation event, but on a more relaxed occasion wearing pants, not so bad in my view. The same goes for crossed legs, men not wearing ties etc ...

@Deadeggs, yes surprisingly enough queen have legs and sometimes they cross them. This may have been an etiquette rule of the past few centuries, but alas women are now allowed to cross their legs, doesn’t bother me one bit.
Love her simple dress and for under €30 it fits surprisingly well, snug where it has to and loose enough in the areas that we don’t want to highlight. Love the length that shows the cute sandals, perfect altogether for a not so formal and beachy event.

Correct, QL looks like a bodybuilder, and this is the fundamental misunderstanding. As long as this remains a private matter, there should be no objections. However, she is the queen of Spain and should represent her country with dignity. This look is for the beach, for her intimate surroundings, but not for the public.

@ Anon. 1/8/22 13:19. Indeed arms like a bodybuilder, one like it or not . It is starting to look not feminine any more. She should also go easy on skin hydrator or whatever it is she is putting on her shoulders and upper arms. It shows the muscles even more or perhaps that is the reason she is doing it.

Who knows perhaps it is a matter of time that we can smell perfume and aroma's on the internet, now that they are installing glass fiber cables (in several countries of Western Europe).

@Virginia, “ this look is for her intimate surroundings, or the beach? She has a black dress, she isn’t nude or wearing a bikini, since when having a very well toned body should be a cause of shame and be covered? Why working out and achieving physical goals should have anything to do with the role of a person? These comments from what I suppose come from women are just disheartening.

Dear Cherry Blossom, I never, ever spoke about shame. I spoke about the role and dignity of a queen, not of a prrson in private. Kindly abstain from twisting my words.

@ Virginia, so stating “ a queen should represent her country with dignity”, thus implying that she has none because she dares to show her very well toned arms? Since when being physically fit puts a person on the indignity category? I guess that we could say the same about any royal not complying with your standards. You are entitled to your own beliefs about what you consider appropriate, but your comment is derogatory, and reeks of virtue signaling.
