King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan attended a religious ceremony to commemorate former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The King and Queen and senior government officials offered 1,000 butter lamps in memory of the former Prime Minister of Japan, Abe Shinzo, at the Kuenrey of Tashichhodzong.

Shinzo Abe was the longest-serving Japanese Prime Minister until 2020, when he left office due to his health state. Shinzo Abe was shot and killed by a man while campaigning in Nara.

    Condolences to the Abe family, on the tragic demise of a Great Stateman. The World has lost a Friend. The family lost a father and husband,. It is nice to watch how Royals around the world pay tribute.The Q looks lovely from what one can see. josebabe

    His is an unbearable loss. Mr. Abe was such a respectable, honorable and reputable statesman. The manner in which he was taken is so hurtfully unfair. May God give us all the fortitude to come to terms with his passing. Mr. Abe will be remembered well and we thank God for his life. It is good to see others paying heartfelt tribute to Japan's longest serving Prime Minister. God grant Mr. Abe perpetual perfect peaceful rest.
