  1. The red dress is beautiful. As usual it's far too long, which takes away from the overall look but it seems to be the Countess's preferred length so I guess we just need to live with it!. Her shoes are certainly an improvement on the ones worn by the model. I also like the dress worn by the Prime Minister's wife. Smart and unfussy.

    1. Yes too long... PM's wife dress : fits her quite well, but a bit old-fashioned.

The dress is too long. The skirt of the dress looks like a tent and the hem is uneven. Not an elegant look. From what I can see, the sandals look nice.
Hope to see better outfits during the days to come.

  4. Nice (but too long as usual) red dress. The PM's wife dress is quite nice too--and much more suited to the climate of St. Lucia than a wool and silk long-sleeved dress.

Why Sophie keeps wearing dresses and skirts that are way too long for her baffles me ! She has a great figure ! Anything at knee length would be far more flattering on her ! Instead she wears clothes that swamp her ! It spoils the overall look.

The upper part of the dress as well as its colour I like a lot and it suits the CoW. However, it's far too long and too wide at the bottom. Although I can't see the shoes very well, I'm not sure about the model and colour; a pair of black heels is what comes to (my) mind.

A no from me: Dress, to hot, heavy, long, and long sleeved for the climate. The bag and shoes are more in tune with the climate. janel

  8. She is good looking woman but her clothes usually are too big or too long for her. This dress would have been nice if not that is again much too long and too wide at the bottom.

She really is a prettig woman, but needs a new stylist. Although the red colour suits her very well

  9. I like the red dress very much and i can live with the shoes at least they are not white. Had the hem been straight I think she might just have got away with this extra long style. It is not as awequid as some of the other too long garments she has worn.

The Wessexes are a gorgeous couple.
Sophie's dress is way too long and flared.
The colour is splendid and perfect for a blonde though.
I like the last pic best.
So nice to see the four of them at the Prime Minister's residence.

  11. Average daytime temperature at the moment in Saint Lucia.
    86°F 30°C
A lot of dress there for a hot climate.
The Prime Minister's wife is more appropriately dressed for the climate.

  13. The color suits the Countess beautifully. I note on Twitter, a photo of the Earl's jacket was caught in the wind and the inner lining of his jacket was red matching the Countess's dress, marvellous touch!
The dress is nice, but the flair of the skirt, either stiffness or inflexible fabric, the overall look, added bulk. Hence the skirt does not sit or flow well, rather stiff and sitting outward, the same on movement I noted. Considering the climate, it must have been hot wearing such a dress.
The longer length, obviously the Countess must like this style. The shoes are pretty.
The couple IMO do wonderful work, quietly with little fuss, flying under the radar, I admire them for that, the effort they put in behind the scenes and the organisations they support.

I like Sophie's lomg red dress and find it appropriate for an official arrival. She will definitely change to something that suits the climate of the Caribbean. Prince Edward is also quite formally dressed.

    1. Excellent comment! There is a place and time for formal/upscale dressing. She and Prince Edward were suitably attired for the occasion.

  15. She is lovely and classy. The red dress is a pretty color for her but it is a bit long. She still looks great.
