  2. No.
Victoria - oldfashioned style, a boring bow blouse again, the sleeves sticking out from the jacket (nooo!), the skirt and the jacket clash in both style and texture. The colours are good though (I´m ready for lighter colours now that it´s spring).
Sofia - not any better. The skirt is styled wrong. It would make a fun casual summer skirt, but it works with neither the black wintery top nor the formal shoes.
Silvia - looking younger and more stylish than both Victoria and Sofia, however, I´m quite tired of her white tights, especially in sharp contrast with the black skirt.
Carl-Gustaf and Daniel both look great from what I can see.

Excellent evaluation, Vanessa; nothing to add.

  5. Love Princess Sofia’s outfit, though the skirt is just a little too long for my liking. Unsure about the shopping bag she’s carrying, though. I like Crown Princess Victoria’s skirt, blouse and earrings. Don’t think the jacket adds anything useful. Queen Silvia as elegant as ever

  6. Victoria's doing a repeat of her blue outfit from Wednesday. Did not like the way the blue outfit was put together and I don't this version any better. In fact, I think this version is worse because th blouse is completely wrong here--both in color and design (ugh, the tie at the neck). The skirt and the jacket would work together beautifully. And, she had her mother present as an example of how to do it right. Silvia--stage an intervention because this is becoming a trend! Speaking of Silvia--so elegant, such a classic style. Finally, Sofia. I can't decide. I feel like I should like this outfit but for some reason I'm hesitating. Maybe the black sweater top is too looking, maybe the skirt is too informal for the shoes--I just don't know. She looks wonderful but...just feeling meh.

    1. The blue jacket is back in full strength but not better paired with the blouse than the other day. She can do better. To me the queen is the winner.

We saw the same jacket a few days ago, in a different color. It's lovely on it's own, or with a shorter sleeved blouse, but otherwise CP Victoria is very elegant.

Sophie is nicely dressed, however I am not a fan of the colors of the skirt, though it looks ok, I would never wear those colors, but she must like them, so it's fine.

The Queen, lovely as always, though again, I'm not fond of the color of the jacket, or the white stockings. I've noticed other royal ladies about the same age, tend to wear these color stockings, King Harold's wife, and Queen Margrethe. However, they could be a semi-support stocking that does not come in another color, and helps the women with aging gracefully legs and long hours of standing, walking, etc. who knows. jj

The reason why they are wearing these whitish stockings is because those were fashionable in the 80s and 90s, and these ladies kept to it. Not everybody changes their style with the fashion all the time, some women stick to something that used to be fashionable when they were younger & they like... I'm not a fan of these stockings either, but am more baffled by the fact that Victoria also often dresses as though it's the 80s!! Like here for instance... And I know that 80s fashion items are back but the pussybow blouse AND the long pleated skirt are a step too far for my taste...

CP Victoria has at times worn her Mom's clothing, so maybe she is mixing and matching pieces from the past with current pieces. I tend to agree the ladies of a certain age, like the look of the white stockings, even though that style went out years ago, they are still re-wearing some of the same outfits from that time frame as well.

  8. I think that both Queen Silvia and Princess Victoria are correctly and nicely decked out for the occasion. But Princess Sofia's skirt gives me the impression that it's carnival time. Don't know when you could wear a skirt like that ...... maybe for mardi gras?
Prince Daniel is back with his double breasted uniform. His visit to the USA didn't get much publicity.

  9. Queen Silvia and Princess Sofia are clearly the fashion winners here. I agree with many of the previously written comments about CP Victoria's attire .... old fashioned and unfortunately, ages her. Prince Sofia, on the other hand looks fresh and vibrant. All except the oversized bag.

  10. I don't understand why Victoria wears the skirt below her natural waist. Perhaps "hip huggers" are coming back. I do like her jacket just not with this skirt and blouse. Can you picture the jacket worn with a sheath? I like Sofia's skirt and sweater. It's bold and youthful. Queen Silvia's red, white and blue outfit is beautiful. And the King and Prince look handsome, as usual.

  11. Victoria's Chanel type jacket is really very nice totally ruined by that blouse. That jacket has enough details going on in it to look very interesting if only it had a perfectly simple top under it with a neckline and sleeves hiding under the jacket and not something fighting for attention at everyavailable opening edge.
The skirt also looks like it is falling down because it is too big at the waist. It may be the intention but I I don't like it either.
As for the longer skirt lenghth bandwagen that all the younger royals appear to have jumped onto. It is awful. I think Victoria looks the least "bad" in it.

  12. CP Victoria's jacket is problematic for me. I don't like the sleeves of the jacket in this instance, the blouse sleeves are longer. Similar to last week. Queen Silvia looks very elegant.

Midi skirts are for nannies like Mary Poppins. Today they are boring and out of time, whatever fashion designers say or try to sell.
